We began our journey from a point of adversity. In 2013, after witnessing a family member suffer significant trauma, we decided to look at ways in which we could use our experience, to help young people in difficult and challenging situations. We began by volunteering, I (Simon) volunteered for the youth service where I worked with young people on referrals from Childrens Services for a year. Louise began by training to be a breastfeeding peer support worker and through this met inspirational healthcare professionals, who signposted her to further training. Now a qualified R.N. and holding a BSc Honours degree she has fulfilled her ambition. As modern nursing adopts a more holistic approach, we began to draw on this knowledge to provide a more valuable service to the young people we work with. We began to study experts in neuroscience who had a particular interest in music like Dr Wendy Mcghee, and Dr Ani Patel, as well as studying the strengths and weaknesses of using technology to support our sessions. We found that Music in general is a powerful and versatile way of supporting young people with not only their development of essential skills, like listening and team work, but over the years, we have recognised a particular advantage when supporting young people who may have become disengaged with education, or have Specific Learning Difficulties. We have a strong philosophy that health and education go hand in hand and we are proud to harness music and technology to share that message, something which is unique to us, that could not have happened without facing our challenges and informing our own personal development.

After years of experience working in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, I noticed a need for increased focus on employee training initiatives around managing stress at work . Workplace wellbeing has now become a priority in our post-pandemic world I became a best-selling author in 2019 after documenting my journey to recovery after CPTSD. Alongside my 1 to 1 client sessions and speaking engagements, my trauma awareness training for organisations and business coaches has been designed to equip leaders to improve employee collaboration and reduce staff absence I’m comfortable talking about stress and trauma. Trauma is NEVER about the event but always about the internal process as a result of the event Understanding how we can manage our own internal experience helps us to reframe our lives and manage stress at work In a highly traumatised society , I’d like to see everyone willing to engage in these conversations . We need to be talking openly about trauma if we are to move forwards as a collective “Take what was your past and light it as a bonfire to be a beacon of light for others to gravitate to”

Carole originally trained in Therapeutic Massage and Clinical Aromatherapy with the Association of Natural Medicine in 1993. She has worked with local GP surgeries and in the local hospital offering complementary services to pregnant women and baby massage classes. In 1997 she trained in Neuroskeletal Re-Alignment Therapy in Australia. She gained her teacher training qualification in 1996 and has been teaching since, including 10 years at at Adult College in London. She has trained in various other therapies over the years and kept her knowledge updated constantly. She has written many national qualifications at HE and FE level. She is a Founding Member of Complementary Health Professionals, a Fellow of the Association of Natural Medicine and an Honorary Member of the International Federation of Aromatherapists. Carole also sits on the General Massage Therapy Council for CHP. About Dan Stephens FCHP, FFHT, MAoR, CNHC Registered Dan started his training in 2007 with VTCT in complementary therapies and then completed his reiki training in 2010. He has since further enhanced his knowledge, studying advanced aromatherapy and advanced massage as well as qualifying in Neuroskeletal Re-alignment Therapy and Crystal Healing Therapy. In 2018, Dan graduated to teach complementary therapies and has been working with Carole. Dan is also the Reiki Officer for Complementary Health Professionals and sits on the UK Reiki Council. Dan wrote the first UK accredited course on CBD for therapists. He is a Fellow of Complementary Health Professionals, a Fellow of the Federation for Holistic Therapists, a member of the Association of Reflexologists and is registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council for aromatherapy, massage, reflexology and reiki.

I have founded Fidas Consent Training because I want to share my knowledge and experience of dealing with sexual assaults and rapes which I gained during my career as a Detective Sergeant. I have combined my passion for safeguarding with my enthusiasm for training – having an MA in education and being a qualified teacher gave me the skills set to develop and deliver my courses. Since leaving the Police in October 2021, I have already delivered to hundreds of students, pupils and their teachers, to Designated Safeguarding Leaders and University students, colleges, youth organisations, charities, and apprentices I have combined my expertise as an ex-Detective Sergeant in Safeguarding and my experience as a teacher, to develop my completely unique consent workshops, presentations and now a cost effective eLearning package . I have trained Detectives, Police cadets and Police Special constables and probationers. I have developed courses for Police officers in dealing sensitively with victims of rape and confronting myths and misconceptions. I have lead leading a Pilot project for Durham County Council in delivering consent workshops to local secondary schools. As a qualified, experienced, and passionate safeguarding specialist, I have 16 years’ experience as a Police Officer, protecting the rights of children, young people, and adults. It’s obvious to us that diversity problems won’t be solved by panel discussions or in echo chambers. And so we designed The Blueprint mark. Its purpose is simple: to help talented Black, Asian, Mixed Race and Ethnic Minority pros get the careers they deserve, and to help organisations genuinely committed to diversity to benefit from their talent. In 2018 and 2019 we brought together two genuinely diverse groups to work together to come up with solutions to the PR industry’s diversity problem. They included rising stars and powerhouses with incredible careers. They included in-house pros and agency heads, crisis comms specialists and an award-winning creative. There was a Mum of twins, an ex-soldier, a counsellor and a councillor. A D&I specialist, a healthcare policy expert, a disability campaigner (with great hair!) and a kick-ass HR director. There was a born and bred Mancunian, a Scot, Nigerians, a Jamaican and even someone from the exotic land of Leamington Spa. In mixed groups they were introduced to a number of harrowing case studies based on the experiences of people working in PR and comms and ran through a series of exercises. They leaned into the uncomfortable, they laughed, they listened and they worked. Through those workshops, The Blueprint was born. And those incredible individuals? They serve as advisory board members (meeting three times a year and shaping our work) and consultants (on hand to provide an additional steer). As for day-to-day? Complete Lean Solutions was established in 2004 by Richard Pounder and Andy Kelsall. Between them they had over 22 years experience of working for Toyota in the UK and Europe. Initially offering straightforward Lean specialist services in Australia, it quickly became apparent that there was a market for structured Lean training. I have always had a personal interest in self help and assisted therapy and began training in NLP (Neuro Linguistic programming) over 20 years ago, I have trained with both Richard Bandler and Paul McKenna who are both recognised leaders in this field. Gaining qualifications in both hypnotherapy and psychotherapy I am a member of the National Counselling Society and the National Hypnotherapy Society and my training reflects the standards and ongoing training required by active members. I have ensured that my training provides the most recognised and up to date therapeutic interventions which I believe enhances my natural ability to understand and offer help to those who feel that therapy will empower and enable them to live the life they choose. Using an eclectic approach I am able to tailor bespoke treatment plans using the strengths of the client to gain understanding and achieve the best possible results. I am trained in the use of CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy), PCT (person centred therapy) and psychodynamic therapy. As a published author I write all my own scripts when using hypnotherapy ensuring they have maximum effect enabling change at a subconscious level. I understand the life journey that brings a client to therapy is unique and on that basis I will offer a bespoke therapeutic package just for you. By running my practise from home I can offer a safe and comfortable environment without losing any of the professional standards you would expect.
