My Name is Bailey & I am a graduate of Manchester School of Art. My art focuses on well-being and mental health and how art can help improve those aspects of people’s lives. Much of my work has involved engaging with people from all walks of life, collaborating with other students and artists, arranging exhibitions and working with venues and Manchester-based charities and even setting up this website. Our Stories Matter combines my art (with a focus on self-care and wellbeing) with community input, be it personal stories about mental health or collaborations with charities and other artists. Clinical Education is also proud to be an Education Partner of The Institute for Functional Medicine, by assisting with the organisation and regional expertise of IFM educational events streamed or in-person in the UK. After 30 years of association and involvement with the Functional Medicine Movement, Clinical Education is a regional hub for those that are looking to train in and apply Functional Medicine into their practice. Part of our work is engaging with Primary Healthcare Professionals working within the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK. We understand, that for many overworked, stressed GPs, the thought of making lifestyle medicine recommendations within a standard appointment time can feel daunting, Collaborating with co-creators Dr Panja and Dr Rangan Chatterjee, we created a unique learning opportunity in ‘Prescribing Lifestyle Medicine (PLM). PLM is a self-paced, interactive learning platform that allows Primary Care professionals to learn about how to implement Lifestyle Medicine into their consultations. Teach Tapin Gadgets combines assistive technology and specialist, easy to use software, along with one-to-one expert support to aid people who require assistance with cognitive processing, communication or literacy issues, visual or physical impairment; helping them navigate crucial everyday services such as school, higher education, the workplace, and social and health care. This can be anything from breaking down the elements of applications and forms, to the basics of mind mapping and daily organisation skills.

Student Light Mission With 10.5% of students in the UK not making it to the end of their degrees and 78% of students in the UK saying they've experienced mental health issues, something has to be done to increase retention rates and tackle the increasing levels of poor mental health within higher education institutions. Through extensive research, we've identified many of the common causes of students leaving university and experiencing mental health issues. With the direct support of university students and services, we've come up with many solutions to try and tackle these problems. This business hopes to act as a tool and resource for personal development, social and community development and most importantly a support tool for students. Secondly, networking, sharing data & research, sharing ideas and collaborating across different universities and Students’ Unions is difficult and an issue well overdue to be improved; especially when it comes to doing large scale data collection for research that's is key to effective campaigns and connecting common student groups/communities. This platform hopes to bridge that gap between institutions and empower students groups and leaders to achieve so much more, both academically, socially and politically.
