Little Notes Music Club! offers a fun, noisy, nurturing environment where your child will get all the attention and stimulation that he or she needs! If you are joining us at one of our groups or inviting us to entertain at your special occasion – be ready for lots of noise and giggles! We currently provide entertainment for ages 0 – 5 years and up to reception in schools. We can perform just about anywhere! We are fully insured to provide children’s entertainment and educational music sessions and have met or exceeded all health and safety guidelines. All staff are DBS checked and have been through a series of training under the Little Notes umbrella. Representatives are always kept up to date with new legislation so that you know your child is getting a high quality experience! Little Notes Music Club! was first opened in 2010 by Gemma. I am a dedicated Mother of three and I hold many years of experience with children, as I was previously a Childminder and Nursery Manager. I hold a BA HONS degree in Early Childhood and Education so you will always know that Little Notes has been built on a firm foundation of experience! At Little Notes Music Club! we hold a good understanding of children and their need to have fun and at the same time we hope to use our skills and knowledge to help children learn. Creating Awareness Plastic in our oceans is a huge environmental and health problem. Reducing plastic from our everyday lives will help reduce the need for and cost of recycling. This is important because recycling streams are not correctly managed, and many are dysfunctional. We also need to correctly dispose of our plastic and other unwanted items, choosing to reuse, repurpose or give it away. Keeping plastic out of our oceans (and our food chain) is a big issue which is why I organise beach and underwater clean ups wherever and whenever I can. I also enjoy visiting schools to give presentations that include short videos about marine life, and coral reefs. Plus, we discuss the different types of plastic, how it is affecting the environment and how we can all try to ‘Say No To Plastic’. Lads Like Us are a Manchester based non-profit organisation. Our journey started with a mission dedicated to informing the practice of professionals and organisations that had failed us as children and adults. We had to make something positive out of our lived experience, chaos and anger, in order to thrive. Shouting and screaming about failures and trying to hold people to account made us mentally ill. We needed to adopt a new approach that would help " Us and them " that was our first problem. In order to break barriers between " Us and Them " we needed to work out a way to weaponise the empathy of professionals to allow them to see that the majority of the behaviours displayed by service users/clients/citizens/people are a direct result of some kind of trauma experienced throughout their lives. These people we refer to are lads like us, from similar estates we grew up on, that are repeatedly presenting at mental health units, substance misuse services, prison and probation. The answer to our problem was to create a trauma informed training package focusing on professional curiosity that would inform practice, using little Mike and little Danny's experiences combined with the healing journeys of both not forgetting the input from the services that supported us. " The Million Pieces Experience " an NHS safeguarding award winning Trauma Informed package that has proven to inform the practice of professionals was created. We then partnered with Barnardos to create Million Pieces Trauma master classes. Lads like us deliver bespoke packages across the country and are now recognised UK wide as a leading Lived experience resource for organisational staff development for those who work with people who have experienced trauma. A farm visit can support many areas of the curriculum such as environmental studies, IT and business studies, technology, science, mathematics and enterprise. Visits are provided from Level 1, linked to experiences and outcomes, and compliment DYW, STEM and LfS agendas. We carry out regular risk assessments of all participating farms to the standard recommended in the Health and Safety Executive’s Guidelines on Educational Excursions. Around two weeks prior to the actual visit, the class teacher will visit the farm with our Project Coordinator to meet the farmer, walk the route and check over the risk assessment. We have a network of trained classroom speakers, made up of volunteer farmers from the local area, who can visit your school and bring farming and the countryside to life. Dear Parent Culross Primary School is a small school set in the historical village of Culross. The main school building has 4 classrooms. There is a dining/gym hall, a library, a resource area and office accommodation. We opened one of our classrooms as a Confucius Classroom in February 2018 and we have one Chinese exchange teacher based here. As well as teaching across the Queen Anne High School cluster they offer immersion days for all pupils across West Fife and Queen Anne High cluster schools. We have a large playground and grassed area, which is used to its full advantage throughout the year for play, sports, outdoor learning and Eco-activities. We promote active travel to school using the WOW Travel Tracker. We follow the The Curriculum for Excellence where learning and teaching focuses on all curricular areas, ensuring balance, breadth, coherence and depth. Children have the opportunity to be taught a musical instrument from P5 onwards. We have a Support for Learning Teacher based in school to support and challenge where needed. The Parent Council is very supportive of the school and the fundraising branch supports the school through fundraising and organising fun events. A residential excursion is offered to P6/7 every year to Ardroy Outdoor Education Centre. We also offer a variety of sports in addition to the PE curriculum. We have been awarded our Silver Sports Scotland Award which we are very proud of. We run a Bikeability award every year for P5/6/7. We are also a Health Promoting School. Our pupils run a healthy tuck shop - Monday to Friday. We provide school dinners which are brought in from Camdean Primary School. All Primary 1 - Primary 5 receive free school meals. We have recently been awarded Level 1 Rights Respecting School Accreditation.
