DTS Training Trading since 2000, DTS Training provides quality Lift Truck and safety training for businesses, on customers’ premises. Based in Gloucestershire, we have clients in the Midlands, South Wales, Wiltshire, Herefordshire, Gloucester, Swindon, Berkshire, Forest of Dean. We offer 3-5 day novice courses (may be reduced to 2 days for proven, experienced operators), 1-2 day refresher courses and a range of conversion courses. Squash Plus has a vision to raise the profile of the sport and make squash accessible to more people, specifically to children. Visibility is critical to success. Around the world there is the perception that many facilities are uninspiring places, often poorly maintained, and tucked away out of sight. This is changing slowly but until kids can see courts in public spaces - and play on them without expensive memberships - the sport cannot develop. ‍ During the pandemic, the sport’s reputation suffered further and what was recently thought of as one of the world’s healthiest sports became considered a high-risk activity simply because it is played indoors and in very enclosed spaces. Our challenge is to transform the image of squash courts and make them attractive in a post-pandemic era. ‍ We’re working on two complementary concepts: first, a lower-cost court with a steel and polycarbonate canopy which provides enough protection to ensure use in a variety of climates and weather conditions. We are continually refining the specification trialling numerous materials at our R&D court in Spain. Second, we have engaged HETA architects in London who are designing a series of elegant hi-tech pavilion structures for sites that demand a high level of architecture. ‍ For some years temporary glass courts have been put up for elite tournaments in landmark venues such as in front of the Pyramids of Giza or in Embarcadero Plaza, San Francisco. The time has now come for permanent courts to be built outside which will give the sport the exposure it really needs whilst delivering increased health benefits to players.

Gorsefield’s mission is to INSPIRE, CHALLENGE, EXCEL: to inspire and challenge all children and adults to excel in everything they do. The two-form entry school is situated in an area of very high deprivation, so children enter the school with very low socio-economic status and significant life challenges to be overcome. Mobility is extremely high. There are currently 23 different languages spoken at Gorsefield. The proportion of pupils who are disadvantaged is significantly higher than the national average, as is the proportion of pupils with an education, health and care plan (EHCP). The school is a UNICEF Rights Respecting (Silver) school. Gorsefield Primary School provides an environment in which all children and adults, including the community, are able to flourish socially, emotionally and academically. As a school, we make no assumptions when children enter our school. We just set the ambition.’ Thus setting all children up to succeed. Small, ability and discussion based classes taught by subject experts ensure meaningful conversations and the opportunity to ask high-level questions. Our Cloud Campus welcomes online students from around the world into live, discussion-based classes and our community, either full-time or part-time. FlexSchool has had great success with remote students from Florida, Washington, California, West Virginia, United Arab Emirates, Bermuda, and Switzerland among other places! back next History FlexSchool started to save one twelve-year-old girl. Jane loved to learn what she wanted to learn, and spent hours engrossed in videos and web pages about animals. She could tell you about muscle cells and animal anatomy. She researched Native Americans and made all of the games and weapons used by the Lenni-Lenape out of found objects and craft supplies. She spent hours drawing and painting and could write fiction better than most college students. Yet, she loathed school. She rarely spoke in class, dropped out of the gifted and talented program, either didn’t do her homework or would forget to turn it in. She had As on the tests and Cs and Ds in the class. Jane’s academic future looked dismal. Poor grades and high test scores are not a winning combination for college admission. Her public school was not the right place for her, but neither were the local private schools. Academically-oriented private schools do not accept students with poor grades. Schools that accept students with poor grades are not always academically rigorous. Stalemate. Until we started FlexSchool. Jane spent six years at FlexSchool, learned to love learning again, graduated in 2020, and attends a well-known liberal arts college studying anthropology, linguistics, map-making, and art.
