Wyre Forest School

wyre forest school

Worcestershire

Welcome to Wyre Forest School. We are a broad spectrum special needs school for children aged 3 to 19. We also have Russell House, a 16-bed weekly residential unit. We have only been in our building since April 2015. Previous to this the school was on two sites following the Wyre Forest restructuring in 2011 (Bewdley Road site, formerly Blakebrook, and Comberton Road site, formerly Stourminster). We share our campus with St John's Church of England School and Baxter College. Our Early Years Hub includes a Nursery Assessment Class, which can take up to 25 children. We have a state-of-the-art science lab housed within Baxter College. We also have a vocational hub and a Sixth Form which prepares children for life after school. Offsite we run the award-winning Blossom Tree Café in Springfield Park. Our vision is to truly ensure that we meet the individual needs of all children at WFS and prepare them for adulthood. At our school We Foster Success by providing a safe, happy environment in which all pupils can develop and achieve. We work tirelessly to meet the needs of all the children, so they develop and progress academically, socially, emotionally and physically. Our values of enthusiasm, resilience, honesty, teamwork and trust shine out from all that we do. We have an exciting curriculum which is broad and balanced and make the use of our specialist facilities; including soft play, dark room, sensory rooms, vocational hub, hydropool, gym and riding for the disabled. We are also a communication specialist school and use sign-a-long, PECS and communication passports. We are passionate about the benefits of outdoor education from Forest Schools and The John Muir Award, to outdoor pursuits, working the land and exploring the Wyre Forest. This work is crucial in building emotional resilience, team work and independence. Please look at our website and revisit it regularly as there is always something happening! Above all, we are a happy school where staff and pupils want to be, to challenge and develop on a daily basis.

Sittingbourne yoga

sittingbourne yoga

I started going to yoga classes when I was just 16, tagging along with my Mum who had been going for years to her favourite teacher Sam. Yoga stayed with me throughout my adolescence, and I always found a class wherever I was, whether at University, on holiday or when I moved away from home. When I settled in Kent, I found an amazing teacher, Rebecca Papa-Adams, who was teaching at my local gym, and I was hooked, I went to yoga several times a week, practiced at home and started becoming interested in the non physical side of yoga. Rebecca convinced me to start my teacher training, even though my immediate plans included marriage and babies. I began my 500 hour teacher training with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2015, shortly after I got married, and unbeknown to me I was already pregnant on the first day of teacher training. I studied for 2.5 years with the British Wheel of Yoga and formed an amazing circle of mentors, teachers and friends throughout that time. I ended up studying and teaching throughout both my pregnancies, which added a whole other dimension to my journey. Seeing the amazing physical and mental effects of yoga whilst being pregnant encouraged me to begin pregnancy teacher training in 2019 soon after my second baby was born; he even joined me on my teacher training days. Yoga provides a lot of different things for different people, but for me it has been present for most of my adult life keeping me grounded, physically mobile and calm. It's opened my mind to other areas of health that I would have never explored otherwise. It's not about being the most flexible or being able to meditate for hours on end, but having strategies and coping mechanisms to live a happy and vibrant life. The classes I teach all include an element of strength, so that when you do stretch, its safe and controlled. I'd love for you to join me at one of my classes, whatever stage you are at.

Bramfield Education Ltd.

Market Harborough

Bramfield House School was established in 1970 as a specialist provision for pupils with social, emotional, mental health, communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviours. It is an all boys establishment catering for an age range of 7-16 and is registered for 74 pupils. It is situated in rural Suffolk 10 minutes drive from the heritage coast. The residential accommodation consists of the main house sitting in 10 acres of gardens and 1 mile from the centre of the village of Bramfield. The classroom facilities are independently placed within the grounds and consist of purpose made specialist subject provisions. Alongside the school site we provide a separate residential accommodation called Ibstock House that caters for the further development of pupil’s independence skills. This house has its own designated classroom and gardens, approximately ¾ of an acre and can support up to 6 boarding pupils. Both can access the numerous on-site resources on offer, including an indoor heated swimming pool, gymnasium, multi-gym, pool tables and table tennis table, full size sports pitches and outdoor adventure trail, amongst a host of other in- house activities and interests. The ethos of the school is based on trust and mutual respect, providing the opportunity for every individual to maximise their own potential in a warm and caring environment. The pupils are supported in discovering their personal attributes, and to then themselves acknowledge these skills, building their confidence and self-esteem so that this can then be transferred and used to develop and enhance all areas of their social and educational development. The professional staff group engages with pupils to explore new and varied environments and interests, using these opportunities to build relationships and understanding, so that they may be better placed to provide individually tailored support to the pupil. The school is well aware of the difficulties that been previously encountered by the young people coming into our care and will start afresh, positively supporting the pupils individuality alongside promoting the value of appropriate social skills. We provide a clearly staged developmental pathway from nurturing to self-management and independence, with skilled staff and resources to assist in this journey.

About With over 5 years experience in the fitness industry I have worked with a vast amount of personal training clients helping them to change their lifestyle and the results speak for themselves. I work with (not exclusively) women wanting to lose fat, make a change and build confidence through a realistic approach to change lifestyle habits. Are you ready to take the step and improve your lifestyle for the better? Are you fed up of the treadmill? Annoyed that you're not seeing results? Bored of weight loss clubs? Feel like you have tried every option or are struggling to motivate yourself? Do you want to be able to walk into the weights are and feel confident in what you are doing? Forget all the conflicting stories you read in the media or the rubbish you see celebrities selling on social media...I can teach you how to adjust your current lifestyle, to enjoy foods you probably think you should cut out and still achieve your goals. A simplistic approach that has helped many to a healthier, happier lifestyle. My passion for health and fitness has grown throughout my life, I love using my knowledge and experience in a simple and enjoyable way to help others improve their lifestyle and feel better within themselves. The best part of my job is seeing not only physical changes in clients but also the mental changes - people actually enjoying exercise for the first time, watching their confidence grow, reduction in stress/anxiety and even the way they talk about themselves (no longer putting themselves down or being hard on themselves). The Movement Revolution by Cheshire Pilates

the movement revolution by cheshire pilates

Hi, I am so happy you can join me. I am looking forward to getting to know you and helping you on your journey to a healthier life. Together we can make a difference to the quality of your life through fun classes, the support of a like-minded community of people who ‘have your back’, along with challenges to encourage and keep you motivated. My name is Suzanne Rogers, and despite being a middle-aged woman (how did that happen?!), I am still deeply passionate about living and enjoying life to the full. For those who don’t yet know me, I love keeping active; if I am not dancing, or teaching Pilates, you will find me upside down in the gym. Upside down you may wonder. Well apart from the obvious anti-gravity effects I am hoping this will have on my face, my latest challenge is improving my handstand. You see, I am a great believer in embracing our inner child; it is still there deep within each of us, and we should allow that version of us a little more time to be free, to play, to wonder, and to try new things without allowing the perceived boundaries of our age to limit us. My suggestion to everyone would be to play more, laugh more, move more, and live your life the way you would like to, not to limit yourself based purely on your age. Discover that childlike version of yourself, believe that you are never too old to try new things, to learn new skills, and stick out your tongue to anyone who tries to tell you otherwise!! Movement is the elixir of life, and I am passionate about sharing my joy of movement with you. Our bodies are designed to be moved, and if we are sedentary, they will ultimately let us down. Just like a car that is unused and un-cared for, it will become rusty, and prone to breaking down. Sadly, we are often more willing to care for the things that we own like our homes, or our cars whereas in reality, our bodies are our lifelong homes and our means of transport: they deserve to be cared for, nourished, and loved so that we can enjoy freedom of movement throughout our lives. Use it or lose it!
