Siawns Teg

siawns teg

London

Siawns Teg is a social inclusion charity that works in the community of Powys to break down the problems and issues surrounding unemployment, personal learning opportunities and health. Siawns Teg has a highly motivated and experienced team of Trainers and mentors and is connected to a number of other local support groups with similar ideals. We are well known locally and internationally for our innovative and effective ways of engaging people in their own destiny and opportunity. We challenge two misconceptions: 1. Some service providers say that “people with problems are hard to reach”. We say that people with problems often don’t have the resources to travel and research what services are available. The problem is that people find services hard to reach. We believe that service providers should be working to break down barriers of access for people they aim to support, not the other way round. 2. Some funders provide money for organisations like Siawns Teg based on the numbers of people who will benefit. In Powys numbers are much less than in urban populations, and so outcomes for funders are not so exciting. We believe that the problems facing people in rural areas are just as difficult as for those people in urban cities, and that rural communities should have the same opportunities. What we do Siawns Teg takes pride in helping people to help themselves. We do this impartially and without discrimination, regardless of what situation, difficulty or problem comes through our door. We provide a holistic approach, working with individuals either alone or in groups to look at problems and planning solutions. We are good at supporting people to fit in with their community at work and play. We see it as a community effort, that is not only a problem for the individual, but one for the community as well to help address. That’s not to say that individuals can dodge the responsibility, each person is motivated to see what they can do and to own their progress. We run local courses and mentoring for individuals that guide people to realise their worth to themselves and the community. The course are tailor made and can cover anything from giving people confidence to attend a course to starting their own business. Some courses carry a recognised qualification! Our style of support is unique and proven with partner organisations in Europe. We have a high success rate of engaging with the unengaged, and getting people into work.

Mindset Matters is designed to instantly target and draw out the limiting beliefs within the student's belief system through an exercise to help them push beyond their comfort zone. We are using intense exercise and boxing as a way to develop new beliefs about what’s possible. We understand all students learn in different ways, which is why we created Mindset Matters. It was to leave no stone unturned so we are able to reach students who are not as engaged with the theoretical side of learning. Through Mindset Matters, we are still able to deliver the same message and philosophy but in a different way. Mindset Matters is for students looking for inspiration and to get a taste of what they are capable of once they refuse to give in.

What makes me a stand out Coach is my own lived experience with an anxious-avoidant attachment style. I have lived & breathed the attraction to unavailable partners, fantasy relationships, obsessing, and losing myself in love. Behind my agonising relationship struggles is a story of multiple childhood traumas and heartache. From my first memory I was surrounded by violence, substance abuse, chaos, and unpredictability. Up until the age of 30, I was in an unconscious mission to fulfil my longing for attention, love, and to be chosen. I chased, crushed, settled, lost myself, drank myself to oblivion, embarrassed myself, lacked boundaries, and abandoned myself time and time again. Immediate pain would show up in my anxious attachment when I experienced any kind of rejection. I would become convinced I needed that person to survive. Deep abandonment wounds would be wide open and as a result, I would be left with a version of me that I couldn’t recognise. My avoidant attachment could be seen in the way I went into myself, got stuck in moods, had an underlying feeling of numbness and sadness, and avoided the inner work for many years. WAKE UP CALL My wake up call came at 29. The end of a relationship (that I had outstayed due to a deep fear of being alone), followed by the agony of dating unavailable guy after unavailable guy. Relationships fuelled by jealousy and a fear of this person realising who I truly am and leaving me. My own recovery has been a bumpy road. Self-help, coaching, therapy, relapses, and then getting up and going again. Through sharing my own journey it’s my hope that your recovery can be a bit smoother. My healing has seen me meet and sustain a healthy relationship. I see myself in this relationship sometimes like it is not me… those moments I’m no longer triggered, my ability to respond over react, the way I consider my things logically, and how I see myself almost choose the old path from time to time. It is my life’s work to pass on, teach, & guide what I know to be true, the methods I use, and give my support to people who are where I was then. So that in this lifetime, we can experience the love we deserved from the beginning. Because it was and is our birth given right to have our needs met, to be loved, and to live a full & safe life.

Research Degrees Taught Masters Undergraduate Study Foundation Programme High School FE/HE Colleges Study English in the UK Track My Applications High School Rankings For many students when choosing their study destination they will pay a lot of attention to rankings. Rankings are important as they give an independent way of judging universities. However it is very important to understand that every ranking has its own criteria and some maybe aimed at UK students or undergraduate students so it is very important to understand what the rankings are for and who they are aimed at. Below is a variety of rankings and your UKEAS counselor will be able to guide you through the different rankings and which ones focus on the aspects which are most important to you. Remember rankings should just be one factor in selecting your chosen school and it also makes sense to pay just as much attention to course content, location, cost, type of university and student experience: Academically, school standards of teaching are very close at the top; a schools ranking one year does not necessarily mean that it will be in the top 100 by the time your son / daughter has competed their studies as the smallest differences in GCSE and A level or IB results can allow a school to move up or down several places. In addition, looking for a school that excels at art or music for example is a folly. All UK schools have to adhere to the national curriculum and the top schools will all have exceptionally capable teachers for all subjects as they can pay for the best. School curriculums are designed to give students a well rounded education and allow them to explore a host of interests that in turn will prepare them for specialist study at university in a specific subject. Finally, choosing a school on rankings is only one criterion and as much as possible it is best for students and parents to go and visit schools so that the student can determine the best fit school for them. Public (private) schools come in a wide range of guises from the small schools located in the countryside, to large schools in the middle of cities. Using rankings tables should not be the be all and end all of a decision that is going to have far reaching consequences for the student in question; it should be one part of a process to help determine the best school for a particular student.

Voncap Recruitment And Development

voncap recruitment and development

Great Yarmouth

Since Covid, older workers are the most likely to have become economically inactive (House of Commons, 2021), with only a third of self-employed people over the age of 54 still working. One in five people reporting that they could not carry on work as usual because of pandemic related issues (Institute for Fiscal Studies, 2020). One third of the UK employment market is currently aged over 50 (Centre for Better Ageing, 2020). Companies across England can no longer discriminate against older people. There is a need to increase recruitment of skilled, experienced personnel, who, through no fault of their own, find themselves in a very tough employment and recruitment situation. Many people over the age of 45, find that they need upskilling and help to move forward and make career adjustments. We facilitate learning for the prospective Employees and guide Companies to achieve the highest standard through their people. We focus on technology, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), wellbeing, and advertising to reach the key audience when looking for work. The issue is one of technology, Applicant Tracking Systems, (ATS) and the need for a unique CV that is non-Bias and one that can navigate these systems with ease. We help with reprogramming the mindset and overcoming the perceived barriers to regain self-respect and employment. With the increasing skills shortage across the UK, a large number of companies are reliant on recruitment agencies for both lower level roles and senior roles. The skills are there but due to the employers need to utilise intuitive recruitment systems in house, they are missing those who are just as capable of completing the role. Many people are not ‘Marketing People’ so cannot write a CV in order to sell themselves! We started our journey in 2017 with courses for the over 45’s, since then we have grown our courses to also have one which focuses on getting professionals back to work – those who have been managers, directors, business owners, who have lost work due to a variety of reasons within the economy and elsewhere. We now work with colleges and job centres to help people achieve their goals, find work, train and grow to where they deserve to be. We also have a selection of distance learning courses available, where people can focus on a particular area they would like to move their career towards. Contact us today for learning opportunities, employment courses, and the next step in finding both work and the mindset so achieve your individual goals.

We deliver arts and health training and creative wellbeing sessions to health care staff to bridge between the arts and the health sector. We are a member led organisation and have spent a lot of the past year talking and listening to our members. We have focused on digital solutions during the lockdown and explored ways of supporting a sector in crisis. We undertook in-depth research of our beneficiaries and developed a tool for practitioners, the Digital Sandpit. We created and launched a new digital tool, pARTner up to support the Thriving Communities Funding bid, which encourages cross-sector partnerships and supports cultural organisations of any size to be on an equal footing. We have recently released a new website commissioned by the GLA, containing the Arts and Culture Social Prescribing Mythbuster Guide. The resources include information, resources, case studies, podcasts and an animation for anyone interested in cultural social prescribing in London. We deliver a yearly Creativity and Wellbeing Festival that went from a small London festival to national in 2019 and saw over 50,000 attendees taking part in around 600 events. The week is held in partnership with the Culture, Health and Wellbeing Alliance. For ten years much of our work has been supported by Arts Council England and we are proud to hold the status of National Portfolio Organisation. London Arts and Health is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. It is governed by a Board of Trustees and is run by a small staff team as well as a number of fantastic volunteers
