My passion is educating about the power of plant medicine and empowering families around the world to live happier, healthier and more sustainable lives, as well as achieving financial and time freedom. Let me tell you where it all started! I have always had a fascination for our environment. Fossils and nature intrigued me and I went on to study geology at university. For many years I worked as an exploration geologist then a hydro-geologist. I learnt many things, including how delicate and fragile our environment is, and how important it is that we respect it. It made me think about where our drinking water comes from, where it goes to and how vulnerable our water supplies are to pollution. I discovered that pollutants from everyday household rubbish can easily (and quickly) end up in our drinking water, and many of these pollutants are readily bought off the shelf in our local supermarkets. It made me really start thinking about what and how much I was throwing away. Then I became a mother! After the birth of my son, I became even more interested in how our environment, and the products that we use, could affect our health. I discovered that we are surrounded by an increasing range of toxins, carcinogens, and irritants in common use around the home, garden and workplace. Products we eat, breathed or put on our skin every day! I was horrified and decided that something had to change. So I started looking for solutions and GreenLifeOrganics began. I believe that our health and our environment are interlinked in ways that we will never fully understand, but if we strive to improve our environment, then there is a good chance that our health will benefit. And if we all make small changes towards leading a healthier and more sustainable life, then there is a good chance that our environment will benefit.

Policies and Procedures are scrutinised by our auditors Jelf Risk Management, and provide our Health & Safety Management services. Our Youth Staff on an evening carry current DBS checks, safe guarding training, first aid and fire marshal competence. All staff receive personal health and safety booklets annually for which they sign for as read, and risk assessments as well as operational standard procedures are undertaken for activities and basic duties reviewed by the internal IOSH trained Managing Safely Officer and externally by Jelf Risk Management. Accident forms and incident forms are completed for all those reported on site and held accordingly. Health & Safety and Environmental statements are reviewed annually and are on display to the centre’s users. Club polices including; safe guarding and child protection, harassment, grievance, bullying, drugs and alcohol are held on site and reviewed/managed by our Welfare Officer. Club rules and procedures, including GDPR privacy notices are written on membership forms and displayed in all prominent areas of the centre.CCTV surveillance on site supports the security of the building, its staff, volunteers and users/members. Any concerns in relation to the use of Richmond Park, including anti-social behaviour, drugs and alcohol use (adjacent to our Club) should be reported to the local authorities (Police and Council). Hinckley Club For Young People have no authority or responsibility in events that take place outside of its perimeter.

I would like to extend a very warm welcome to the Cox Green School website. It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of Cox Green School from 1st January 2022. I have been part of the Senior Leadership Team at Cox Green School since 2018 and I am delighted to have been appointed to lead the school forward, working in partnership with parents and carers. As Headteacher, I will make it my duty to support our students and provide them with opportunities so that they can achieve the highest academic standards and develop their unique talents to the full. It is my belief that our students should be kind, respectful and aim for excellence in all that they do. This for me, characterises the “Cox Green Way”. The education we provide will be in line with these values and will develop your child’s knowledge, understanding and skill set so that they can become highly qualified, responsible citizens, able to participate fully in all parts of the community. My passion has always been to enable every student to fulfil their ambition and find a pathway that motivates and challenges them. We will set high standards in every area of school life so all students have the opportunity to shine and enjoy their time with us. My goal is for Cox Green School to be a community which supports every pupil in ways that are suitable and individual to them; a school where the pupils’ and staff, learning and wellbeing are at the heart of all we do. I am truly excited by what the future holds for the students of Cox Green School and for what we can achieve. I look forward to working with you.
