For decades known as Friends of Barnes Common, the charity changed its name in 2022 to Barnes Common Limited (BCL) to reflect its evolving nature and help further growth. It is heavily involved in conservation, community and education engagement. Vine Road Recreation Ground is currently in the consultation phase of a proposed major enhancement of the site.
