Having qualified from The University of Sheffield in 2015, Hannah began her career with a local government organisation, in mainstream schools. This role primarily involved working with those aged five to twenty-five, who presented with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). This involves assessing communication skills, making recommendations, delivering therapy, training up staff to deliver interventions and working with the team around the young person (e.g. parents, staff, other professionals) to achieve the best outcomes. Hannah has developed specialist interests in two main areas: hearing impairment and selective mutism. In addition to this, she has tried to combat the ever growing budget cuts by coming up with innovative ways to empower schools in their understanding and ability to work with children with SLCN. A key example of this was the development of the Training Care Pathway, which evaluates the school’s strengths and needs in managing SLCN in the classroom, and then tailors a programme of training to up-skill staff.

Ayo set up the business in 2021 after almost two decades of working in equality, diversity and inclusion. The idea came from an awakening in society of structural barriers facing minoritized groups, and the need to provide support for organisations to take trusted and sensitive approaches to improve the experiences and outcomes for their staff, service users and customers. Specialist in EDI and business development Ayo has worked in race equality and gender equality organisations since the early 2000s when she started her career at Race Equality West Midlands (REWM) founded by Dr Frank Reeves. She went on to working in a number of grass roots community organisations, and government funded initiatives supporting women in STEM careers, refugee, asylum seeker and migrant communities, and young people at risk of anti-social behaviour. Alongside a successful career in Business Development within Higher Education, between 2011-2019 she also led the charity New Leaders Network, providing training and development to equipt marginalised communities to move into leadership positions. In 2021 Ayo was approached by members of her network to provide bespoke EDI interventions following the impacts of COVID19 and the Black Lives Matter movement. She registered Bakare Barley Ltd as the go to person-centred consultancy service to provide positive, evidence-based and sustainable EDI business solutions.

L.G.M. Training was formed in 2002 and is a family run business which is run by my self (Liam) and my wife Denise and son Paul. During the last seven years we have trained thousands of individuals in a variety of backgrounds and fields which have included industrial, construction, utilities and civil. We have catered for lots of different industries some of which are Water treatment, electricity suppliers, nuclear fuels, the fire brigade, aerospace, local councils, government contracts as well as small companies and individuals. Delivering courses for other training companies has very often left our hands tied as regards facilities and equipment, training aids and quality guidance booklets. So we decided to set up our own training centre which will allow us to control the whole package and deliver courses to a better standard. This of course will take time to achieve and will not happen over night but hopefully anybody who visits our training centre either for training or just to visit will hopefully see what we are striving for. ABOUT US Multiflex School Sports was originally started in 1989 by athletics coaches Tom Davies and Ron Newton. The original company name was T & R Sports Development. T & R Sports Development were given financial backing by ICI and later Astra Zeneca to deliver a sporting programme to Primary schools and High Schools to enthuse young children about sport. This programme used high achievers in sport such as Great Britain international athletes and professional Basketball players to deliver a programme that not only developed fitness and skill levels of young children but increased their enjoyment of sport and gave them a route into sports clubs outside of the school environment. Following the success of this programme Multiflex Sports was formed and went on to continue this sporting programme with local authorities and also Sports-hall athletics and Eveque sport and leisure. In 2005 the government introduced P.P.A. (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) to all UK Primary Schools. This meant that all teachers would then be allocated 2 hours a week away from their class timetable to make use of their PPA time effectively. Coincidently 2 hours a week is also the amount of time each child should receive P.E. lessons for so Multiflex altered their business model to provide PPA cover for schools in and around Cheshire. Mark Webb who is the Managing director of Multiflex realised there was an opportunity to provide high quality P.E. lessons in line with the National curriculum guidance on a weekly basis, whilst also providing support for schools and teachers through PPA cover. Multiflex developed a P.E. scheme for Primary schools that covered 6 areas of sport in line with the curriculum.
