We are a government funded Community Interest Company (CIC) who are experts in sport and education. With a background of over 20 years in this sector, we are creating the next generation of sports professionals and leaders. Currently working in partnership with 70+ basketball, rugby and cricket clubs nationwide. Having worked hard to build relationships with the local Nottingham community, we have been able to provide high quality sports related qualifications, advice and mentorship. Helping Kids Achieve is about empowering young people, especially those aged between 5 and 17 with the skills needed to become leaders by building a better future for the next generation. With the help of a team of charities and organisations, we will be able to achieve this goal together. From humble beginnings, Helping Kids Achieve has been featured on Notts TV, The Nottingham Post, BBC Radio Nottingham, BBC East Midlands and even have won an award at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year due to the work we provide for the community. We primarily operate in Bulwell, Bestwood and St. Anns, where we focus on sports, arts & crafts, music and dance to create a fun environment for everyone involved. Don’t take our word for it, here are some testimonials from the kids who come to our sessions: “I like Helping Kids Achieve because it’s fun, I get to see friends and build confidence. I go to the structured basketball sessions to practice my matches and Helping Kids Achieve provides us with fun events like We Day in London and Nottingham. Blue Peter came to our sessions to film and we had a basketball match with them and not only that, we are a family.” "I go to the Helping Kids Achieve sessions because I have fun, I make new friends, I do crafts, I do science, I do sports, I do dance. The Survey Association - TSA

Newark On Trent

The Survey Association, known generally as TSA, is the trade body for commercial survey companies in the UK. The association was formed in 1979 to give a focus for private sector businesses in land and hydrographic survey. It is important to realise, however, that it is not a regulatory body. The role of TSA is to promote best practice amongst its members, provide a forum for members for discussion, debate and continuing professional development and, to the wider audience such as engineers and architects, provide guidance on new methods and techniques and a list of suitably qualified and experienced companies. Today, the association has over 200 companies in membership as full, associate, supplier, affiliate or academic members directly involved in the geospatial profession. TSA is also involved in lobbying Government departments when appropriate and other agencies such as the Environment Agency regarding policies likely to affect or involve the survey profession. TSA meets regularly with RICS and CICES on a range of issues and has established a group called the SLG, or Survey Liaison Group. This body convenes at regular intervals to examine matters of mutual interest and to ensure that there is little or no duplication of effort by the three bodies. Representatives from the Geospatial Commission also regularly join SLG meetings. It focuses on preparing adult learners from marginalized communities in Myanmar for effective participation in developing their communities, and for further education. The Curriculum Department currently operates two programs: Educasia works to support the development of non-government post-secondary and adult education initiatives in Myanmar. Educasia’s objectives include: Enabling students in post-secondary and adult education to develop the skills and knowledge required to participate effectively in the development of their communities, and pursue meaningful further education. Building the capacity of teachers in low-resource post-secondary and adult education to develop student-centered teaching skills and create active analytical learning environments. Supporting post-secondary and adult education programs, in both formal and informal settings, to develop and implement effective context-appropriate curricula and syllabi which prepare learners to participate effectively in the development of their communities, and pursue meaningful further education. The Curriculum Project’s objectives are broadly similar to Educasia, except that the program works with Myanmar populations (refugees, exiles, and migrants) based along Myanmar’s borders.
