At present I have two Labradors, and have owned and trained several Labradors and a German Shepherd (a rescue dog) as well as the family’s Shetland Sheepdogs and Miniature Schnauzers (together with a variety of birds and small furries!). I have been training dogs for over 35 years in a variety of disciplines, including Obedience; Agility; Gun Dog Training; Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme; Obedience Rally; Companion Dog Training - and even for a short film, “Her Dog” (2013), which you can watch online! Qualifications I have an Honours (2:1) degree in Ecology & Ethology, a MSc (Merit pass) in Applied Animal Behaviour & Welfare from the Royal (Dick) Vet School, University of Edinburgh; and a Doctorate (PhD) in Ecological Studies. KCAI logo large-min.JPG I have been helping owners train their pets in both classes and on a 1-2-1 basis for the last 10 years and initially qualified as a dog trainer with a local charity in 2011, before becoming a member of the Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme for Instructors in Dog Training and Canine Behaviour (KCAI). I am a KC Good Citizen Dog Scheme Approved Examiner (List A) for Bronze, Silver and Gold Award Levels. Drawing upon my formal behavioural, welfare and ecological training I can identify and resolve behavioural problems which cause a lot of distress for both dogs and their owners. I have a particular interest in helping dogs with anxiety or fear-related issues and investigated this for my MSc Dissertation: Investigating Relaxation Protocols designed for Companion Dogs (Canis lupus familiaris): Efficacy, Client Engagement and Perception. I am interested in Dog Cognition and understanding how recent scientific developments can be applied to Pet Dog Training and to help you understand the real reasons behind your dogs behaviours.

Fi grew up in London and throughout her childhood was always either making things, drawing or painting. She did her foundation course in London and then chose to leave the city and take her degree in Fine art Painting in the beautiful city of Bath. After spending a couple of years, based in a studio group in Bristol, making her own work, she decided to move back to London and shortly thereafter she did a PGCE and began her teaching career. After having her son, and due to work commitments, Fi and her family moved to Worcester and this is where she began honing her skills as a jeweller. She is now a jewellery designer and painter, offering unique, handmade jewellery pieces which are mostly made in silver, incorporating semi precious stones and accents of gold. Jewellery commissions are regularly undertaken and include recycling of old jewellery pieces to make new. Her jewellery is inspired by the style of ancient and archaeological pieces and natural forms and aspire to having a very handmade, and 'just dug up' look. Most of the work has been hand forged but more recently Fi has employed the lost wax casting process and now also runs workshops. Vibrant colour plays a large part in both her painting, prints and jewellery. Having trained in Fine Art, she uses the studio to paint in and undertakes portrait commissions. Having a portrait painted of a loved one can be an excellent way to mark a special birthday or occasion. As with possible jewellery commissions she would be more than happy to discuss requirements and options. There are a selection of workshops which can be booked in her studio, based on jewellery making and painting. Workshops can be a fantastic way to learn a new skill or done as a group can be a wonderful experience.

JasonPB (Jason Parnell-Brookes) is an internationally award-winning photographer, educator and writer based in Frome, UK. A qualified teacher and Master’s graduate, Jason was Highly Commended in the Mammal Society Photographer of the Year Awards 2013 before being named Digital Photographer of the Year 2014 for his macro work and winning the Gold Prize award for his portraiture in the Nikon Photo Contest International 2018-19, one of the world’s biggest photography competitions. His wealth of academic and real-world experience in a variety of photographic disciplines makes Jason the perfect photography educator, able to talk authoritatively on multiple subjects, as he did at The Photography Show 2017. In his decade-long career Jason has worked for big fashion brands like Superdry and Tu Sainsbury’s as both a photographer and retoucher. After many years in the fashion world he moved to publishing as an editorial photographer for multiple magazines including Prog Rock and Digital Photographer. He was a photographic adviser and writer for World of Animals, and became Technique Editor on N-Photo magazine where he worked for four years. He now contributes to web giants like Techradar, CreativeBloq and FStoppers. Jason also interviews Canon ambassadors for the Canon Europe website and is a guest trainer for Nikon School UK. He’s also shot and written advertising campaigns for London Camera Exchange and MPB. Jason has literally written the book on Nikon, Canon and Sony camera systems (e.g. The Nikon Handbook, The Sony Camera Book etc); and is a dab-hand at image editing having contributed to bookazines such as Teach Yourself Lightroom and Teach Yourself Photoshop. My work invites meditation upon nature and its relationship with colour, light and movement. As I draw or paint, I gradually unravel the underlying qualities of balance and harmony within my subject matter. What interests me most is observing the formation of line and pattern: from the blades of grasses to a bird’s feather; from the shifting of clouds to the beat of my heart; from the maps of stars in heaven to the trunk of an old oak tree. I continuously strive to reveal beauty and elegance within the natural rhythm of life and look to my art as a place of well-being, empowerment and inner peace. The materials I love to use are water-based pigments, powders, and Japanese black ink. These are natural and organic and are deeply connected to earth and nature. They afford a rich palette of hues and allow for both extreme precision and flow of movement. I am captivated by the way they blend together and create a whole that is more than its' individual parts. Occasionally, I also add hints of gold and silver, as these reflect light differently at each hour of the day, changing the glow of the work from within.
