We have used our extensive, world-leading knowledge of water safety and training to develop a comprehensive range of vocational qualifications and a series of awards and education programmes which all have the ultimate aim of preventing drowning and stopping unnecessary loss of life. Our portfolio includes the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) - the premier lifeguard training programme.

With more than eighteen years of experience working in the outdoor education industry, Ben is professionally qualified to deliver personalised coaching and instructor training across a broad spectrum of activities. From novices to more experienced clients, Ben provides high quality bespoke training tailored to the specific learning requirements of individuals, clubs and centres. Ben is trained to lead and supervise groups and individuals in the outdoors, ensuring their safety and teaching skills and techniques relevant to the activity being undertaken. Ben specialises in coaching courses in sailing, windsurfing, power boating, canoeing & kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, archery, climbing, mountain biking and rowing. We are proud to have a team of over 25 coaches some of them former International gymnasts, European, World or Olympic Champions in gymnastics and feel confident they will pass their expertise to new generations. We also have volunteer coaches that are currently ongoing their training to becoming qualified coaches. We are always on the lookout for new coaches that are keen to get involved so if you are interested in becoming a gymnastics coach or even just a volunteer please get in touch. All our coaches and volunteers over 16 have DBS clearance and are trained in safeguarding children as well as certified and insured through British Gymnastics. We also have Youth Leaders that you see in the gym learning to assist and develop their skills as a future coach and a young leader, gaining valuable work experience in a professional environment.

wanting to learn how to create shoes entirely by hand led me to pestering the local clog maker to take me on as his Saturday girl, after a couple of years I got a place at cordwainers college, then part of central and st martins. when I finished my degree, I went straight into an apprenticeship in the west end of london. I was very lucky as apprenticeships were and still are, very few and far between. for 12 years, I worked exclusively for boot and shoe companies, including john lobb, cleverly and jason amesbury, in the west end and mayfair. a chance conversation led to a residency at the royal armories in leeds where I spent two years working with the in-house leather worker to produce 30 pairs of jack boots for the household cavalry. while I was there I began to think about producing a collection of leather goods under my own name. I was encouraged when my first show sold out completely. I have worked hard to build on that success becoming more creative with styling and inventive with detail as the collection has grown. I am currently working on a series of collaborations with an intriguing range of clients: flame oz are an international troupe of fire performers who are looking at ways of incorporating fire resistant leather into their incredible theatre shows. drawn surface have worked on set designs in film and television and are currently producing a range of leather and hand printed canvas homewares with me. I am working with milliner Good Golly Miss Molly to create a range of stunning gents headwear for various celebrities. new projects on the horizon include a range of luxurious aprons and gentlemen's grooming products, and more recently, I have been commissioned to produce body-worn amp covers for a local music project.
