General English is the most popular course at Castleforbes College. Structured to provide the knowledge to deal with everyday situations. It is based around fun and dynamic lessons that will help you become fluent. Our methodology is founded on practice, conversation and entertainment. Our General English course will also teach you the idioms and colloquial terms used in everyday Irish culture, improving your communication skills in Ireland. This process will be done using a variety of textbooks, audio and video recordings, and group activities amongst students. Every student’s programme is overseen by our Director of Studies and teaching staff, from the first day to the last, supporting, answering questions and evaluating their progress as they follow their learning path. The school receives students from all over the world, as General English courses also allow students from outside the EU to learn English in Ireland with a Work-Study Visa.

Elementary English course, A1-A2 level

This General English tutoring course is designed for adult learners who want to improve their overall English language proficiency. Participants will focus on developing their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in a variety of everyday contexts. English Language Course for adult students who want to study for 5 weeks and attend 25 hours of lessons per week. 

English Language Course for adults to study for 5 weeks and attend 21 hours of lessons per week.

full-time General English in the UK for 4 weeks MINIMUM, and covers the areas of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar. It also includes 4x weeks MAXIMUM of work for a charity. study and volunteer in the UK

The English Studio provides learners of English with the necessary language skills to become effective global communicators.

This course teaches you English as a foreign language. Starting from a few basic words, we then work though the structures of the language step by step, learning new grammar and vocabulary as we go. We pay close attention to pronunciation, and make use of the IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) to help us with this. The course is taught by a British English native speaker. But, because English is an international language, we will listen to various accents throughout the course.
