I was born and brought up in the North East of England. Traditional art was not my strong point during my academic years’ and so my career path ended up taking me into Sports and Remedial Massage. I ran a small business as a Remedial Massage Therapist in Co. Durham and Teesdale and this combined with work in the fitness industry kept me busy and active for some years. In 1998 I was forced to retire from this work completely due to injury. I also left behind my home county and began my journey around the country.

Tracey’s sculptural glass work is inspired heavily by this unique geological landscape of South Armagh, formed during volcanic and glaciation periods over 440 million years ago. Her work builds on this monumental land formation where she responds to the imagined energy formed in the landscape during that period, using glass as a vessel to translate the story. Her work also celebrates a strong connection with Ireland’s ancient Megalithic and Iron Age ancestors and the mysteriously beautiful structures they left behind in their wake. Her work constantly comes back to these roots as a form of inspiration with an invisible pull. Tracey specialised in Fine Art Sculpture with a MFA in 2002 at the University of Ulster, Belfast. She has been working within the field of sculpture and glass since 2003 since training with artisan brothers, Gianni and Massimo Bracciai in Sienna, Italy, at Vitrate Artiste Toscana. Here she assisted in the creation of large scale ecclesiastical glass installations sited in places of worship across the United States. This is where the seeds were sown for glass as a medium of transferring its ethereal qualities to her sculptural practice.

Rose and Keiran make up the team Driftwood Glass Studio. Studying at The University of Sunderland and based at the National Glass Centre, they left in 2013 graduating with BA (Hons) in Glass and Ceramics. Soon after graduating they set up they business Driftwood Glass Studio. In 2018 Rose won the Award for Excellence from the Worshipful Company of Glaziers and Painters of Glass. She had the honour of working in established Stained Glass Studios in the UK and Europe throughout 2018 and 2019. Taking inspiration from the North Norfolk coastline and countryside, they use it's vibrant colours in their glass and paintings to allow you to take a little bit of the area into your own home. Based in Hindringham and Burnham Deepdale, they make everything in their studio on site and sell to the public. By refracting and reflecting light through her work, Naomi gives her glass sculptures the appearance of diamonds and crystal. This aesthetic developed naturally due to the distinctive characteristics of Naomi’s signature process, ‘Frit Fusion,’ yet it is a poignant aspect of the work, conveying that even when broken and feeling unworthy one can rebuild, strengthen and shine again - broken truly is beautiful. Naomi’s largest piece to date using this process is Mother, a life-size mother torso demonstrating the versatility and structural integrity of this material: large scale glass sculptures are fully achievable. Commissions are considered and Naomi enjoys a challenge so please do get in touch. If you have an installation brief, she is especially keen to hear from you. ALL ABOUT US Here at Beau Nidol we specialise in glass art and gifts. We have a small shop and studio in the town of Bude on the beautiful North Cornwall coast. As well as making our own art which is sold on location and also through our web shop we also offer half day workshops. Our workshops run every day apart from Thursdays and Sundays Children as young as 12 are welcome to do the workshops if accompanied by an adult.

Come along and spend a few hours creating your own masterpieces, We have several workshops that you can choose from. Workshops are run regularly in a fully equipped studio, everything is supplied, all you need to do is bring yourself and wear enclosed footwear.

Partners and Creek Creative founding directors Anne MacLaren and Simon Giles first discussed setting up a not-for-profit art studio complex close to Faversham town centre in October 2006, giving rise to a long research process. Their brainchild project was named ‘Creek Creative’ in March 2007, and registered as a community interest company (CIC) in September 2008. A Feasibility Report was completed in January 2009, followed by a lease agreement for No.1 Abbey Street, Faversham from the 1st July 2009. Conversion and renovation work started immediately, helped increasingly by local volunteers, supporters and sympathetic traders, and by March 2010 the first resident artists had taken up studios.
