Anti-social behaviour, limited self-belief and lack of motivation can lead to poor education, unstable interpersonal relationships and unemployment. We aim to tackle these issues at their source using preventative measures. We offer unique, interactive and highly motivational workshops using our tried and tested approach. We have already empowered over 1000 individuals to transform their lives for the better in the areas of education, increased well-being and employment.

We are open Monday to Friday from 8am until 6pm all year round and closed on bank holidays and the period between christmas and new year Clarence House Nursery, set in the leafy West End of Glasgow, has indoor and outdoor facilities. Shirley Hexley, the nursery owner, has been providing wraparound childcare since 1998 for 0-5 year olds. Clarence House has an excellent reputation for having a calm and nurturing environment that encourages children to be independent, develop social skills and explore new experiences. Staff are committed to understanding the individual needs of each child and work closely with parents to consolidate learning and help each child reach their full potential. Clarence House is a small nursery and recent comments from parents have included “higglety pigglety” and “quirky”. Most visitors comment on the nice feeling they get when they come in. Because of the small size of the nursery it feels homely and welcoming. Children are not regulary moved about from room to room and this allows relationships to develop into meaningful and positive friendships that can last through to school. And in the words of one of the children “we are a happy nursery”. Some of our strengths are : Our highly qualified and experienced staff follow Pre-Birth to Three and the Curriculum for Excellence which provides a framework for learning and supports all children well as they make the transition into school. We offer a broad range of indoor and outdoor activities with a focus on Health and Wellbeing, Literacy and Numeracy. There are also opportunities for children to explore areas such as Science and Technology, Expressive Arts and Social Studies. A daily exercise programme which establishes an introduction to the importance of health and wellbeing. Fees include a hot cooked meal at lunchtime, snacks, drinks, external specialists, events and outings. Partnership with Glasgow City Council offers funding for all 3-5 year old who live within Glasgow City Council. We offer a free, friendly, independent and confidential telephone helpline for parents and others looking for information and advice on Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). We concentrate on helping people to find their way through the legal and procedural maze which is so daunting to so many who try to obtain satisfactory provision for a child’s special needs.

Capa is an online platform for families impacted by child to parent abuse and professionals supporting them. We work with families providing support and strategies to reexamine ways to communicate and repair fractured relationships. Reducing levels of violence and abuse in the relationship and home. We offer training to professionals, consultation and supervision. Set up in 2019 Capa was created to bridge a gap for both families and professionals. Services supporting this issue, with specialist workers who understand child to parent abuse can be hard to find and can be a postcode lottery. Our services have helped families to make real changes, reducing isolation, encouraging positive healthy relationships and supporting parents and young people to effect change. Child to parent abuse is often a relationship fracture and a breakdown in communication. This can lead to a child or young person feeling out of control resulting in violent and abusive actions. We support parents to understand what is happening and build strategies to repair relationships stopping the unwanted behaviour.
