Aikido Takemusu Kai Bristol is based in the heart of Easton on Cato Street just minutes away from the popular St Marks Road. Aikido Takemusu Kai started in the early 1970s in Japan by the late Suzuki Toshinobu who was a direct student of the founder of aikido Morihei Ueshiba, and the UK branch in the very late 80s in London. We have been teaching aikido at the Cato St dojo since 1996 to a wide variety of committed students. Aikido Takemusu Kai is directed by 8th.dan Richard J Simms whom Suzuki Toshinobu sensei officially appointed in 1989, his leadership has continued under the present head in Japan Suzuki Shigeyuki sensei.
