In our 30 years of service, we have delivered Careers Guidance support to over 100,000 people, delivered 40,000 accredited qualification, and offered enterprise support to 1,550 businesses. EBCF Ltd is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee established in 1992 by Her Magesty’s Government mandated by the Secretary of State to establish locally managed community capacity building provision via East Birmingham Taskforce (1988). The Company established three main areas of focus, these being, Jobs, Enterprise, and Training. The business operated under the JET Shop brand for many years in the heart of East Birmingham and during the last 10 years successfully branched out to other inner-city areas of Birmingham and regionwide to meet contractual obligations and strategic objectives. EBCF has delivered jobs, enterprise, and training related projects through Local, Central and European government funding, and including other philanthropic agencies. We are accredited with all leading exam boards and hold direct claim status (DCS) for many qualifications from entry level to Level 6 in various vocational areas. Our Careers Advisers are in-house trained and qualified to Level 4 and 6 with wealth of knowledge and experience to enable our customers to make a smooth transition from learning to work. Our 30 years of local in-community delivery enables us to have a qualified perspective on what will work and what will not when engaging local communities. Our success to date has been possible by investing in local communities, establishing partnerships with likeminded organisations, and levering resources of benefit to our beneficiaries.

Our Story In the 1980s both Judi and Alex were serving Police Officers and in the 1992 Alex left to join the London Ambulance Service. During their service, they both witnessed the importance of good First aid care and, having a passion for teaching, started out as freelance instructors for other companies. Unfortunately they were both disappointed with the quality and pricing of many of those providers. Judi become fed up with Alex's constant comments that he could "do better, cheaper" and told him to "do something about it!!!" Alex and Judi Brazkiewicz formed Holos Healthcare & Training Ltd in 2004 to deliver high quality First Aid at Work training. Alex and Judi between them, currently have almost 35 years front-line Emergency Services experience, and almost 50 years training First Aid. They are backed by a passionate team of instructors - hand picked for their experience but also their ability to "Teach the Basics - but also to Teach them Well". Services Our courses range from brief 2 hour introductory seminars and 1/2 day Basic Life Support (BLS) courses to the 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) and 3-day First Aid at Work (FAW) to the 5-day Level 3 First Responder on Scene (FROS) courses. In addition Holos has the ability to devise bespoke training to meet your individual workplace requirements and has successfully delivered training to a wide and diverse variety of clients including student doctors at Kings College London (which incorporates Kings College, Guys and St Thomas' Hospitals), the ground crew for the London Ambulance Service's Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), the staff of the National Maritime Museum, security staff and specialist units within HM Armed Forces. Most of our courses are delivered ‘in-company’ at your premises, saving you time and money. As director and lead trainer for the company I deliver courses to clients in businesses and in schools. For several years I taught first aid courses for the British Red Cross, delivering the full range of commercial and paediatric first aid courses. Prior to this I spent 30 years in the Metropolitan Police Service and have experienced first-hand, what it is like to be faced with a seriously ill, or critically injured person as a first-aider. That initial contact with a casualty is crucially important and all of my training is designed to help students cope, either at work, or in their private lives, by giving them the confidence and willingness to help in the event of an emergency.
