I am Vicky Clark, and I am The Pet Accountant. I started my career working for my uncle in his accountancy firm, and 6 years later I’m getting ready to take over the business so that he can enjoy his retirement. From my Bedfordshire-based office, through the magic of the internet and cloud-based systems, myself and Herbie (my cockatiel) are able to work with people from all over the UK. In recent years I have naturally gravitated towards clients that are pet professionals and I’m taking the family business in this new direction. Because frankly, if I wasn’t an accountant I’d probably be working with animals too.

The local park with a children's playground along with the wide expanses of Gotham hills and woods are within easy walking distance. In 2012 Anita founded The Positive Parenting Project, a social enterprise which aims to bring the benefits of proven evidence-based parenting strategies to as many parents (and children) as possible. Anita started her career in international development, spending four and a half years in Mongolia where she went through both of her pregnancies. (Her eldest son learnt to say ‘mummy’ in Mongolian before he said it in English!). Anita also spent time in Hungary and Kazakhstan. Anita has studied developmental psychology (child development) to postgraduate level and is an accredited Triple P® parenting coach. A leading UK parenting expert, she speaks at events across the country and delivers parenting seminars, webinars and one-to-one support. She is regularly featured as a parenting expert on TV and radio. Fascinated by children and how they develop, Anita has a talent for helping parents view their children and their own parenting strategies from different angles. She is adamant that there is no such thing as a perfect parent and says her ambition with her own children is simply not to make the same mistakes too often. After becoming a single parent, Anita changed careers. She worked as a strategic manager in a local authority children’s services for nine years, setting up and managing early intervention, targeted and specialist family support services including Sure Start Children’s Centres, parent support lines, teenage pregnancy prevention projects and intensive family support.

Just another WordPress siteWatford Football Club has a long and proud tradition of serving its community. It has established a reputation as the ‘Original Family Club’ – a club which actively provides a range of services to those who live in and around the area. It also provides a sense of community to everyone who supports the ‘Hornets’. How did it all come about? Well it would be fair to say that at Watford FC the introduction of family areas, player appearances at community events and activities was pioneered by the then manager Graham Taylor. In the early 1990’s Watford FC established a Football in the Community Scheme. At the time this consisted of one member of staff who was tasked with using football as a way of increasing football participation whilst also promoting Watford FC. Over time the popularity and growth of the activities offered meant that additional staff needed to be taken on. By 2002 the Community Scheme employed five full time members of staff as well as a large number of coaches working on a sessional basis. The Community Scheme not only encouraged active participation in activities and events it also played an important role in addressing a range of social issues. As a result of the good work achieved a decision was made to turn the scheme into a charitable entity. The primary aim of doing this was to take the community work offered to a new level.

Sun Bear Yoga has a key focus on making yoga fun and accessible to all. In this funny old time we believe it's super important to take extra care of our kids and their families' emotional and physical health. Sun Bear Yoga combines yoga, play, fun, dance, drama, music, acro, storytelling, relaxation and mindfulness to nurture positive wellbeing and encourage community support and socialisation (team work- yay). Why is yoga good for kids? It improves concentration and co-ordination, develops body awareness, calms the racing mind and boosts self-esteem and inner confidence. Our mission is to create a space for some much needed time out, fun without distraction, giggles and to provide the opportunity for an emotional reset. We want to give kids and their families the tools to cope better with the daily stressors that come with modern family life. We believe in equality, inclusivity, tolerance, compassion and respect and these values form the foundations of our classes. All of our classes are completely secular and there will be no focus on religion. EVERYONE is welcome. We believe in spreading love and happiness to all. Kindness is our superpower! We offer classes for children 0-16y during term time and we run family yoga events out of term time. Right now our classes go up to 12y but as of September they will be available for 13-16y and we will also have dedicated classes for children with certain additional needs in Autumn 2021.

After completing her honours degree in Animal Behaviour and Biomedical Science, Karen went on to complete an advanced diploma in Practical Aspects of Companion Animal Behaviour and Training through COAPE. Karen is also a member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers. All members of the APDT are assesed and train under a strict code of practise because they believe in modern, kind and gentle methods. This offers pet owners a guarantee of quality when signing up to a class. Karen feels very strongly against punitive heavy handed methods and believes if we have our dogs as companions and part of the family they should be treated that way. Karen has worked with internationally renowned Sarah Whitehead for 8 years running three of the leading branches of the previously known Alpha Puppy Classes and Pet Behaviour. She also used to be a tutor for Alpha Education OCN accredited courses for new trainers and behaviour counsellors. Now 37, Karen's ambitions and success led her to branch out with her own team of trainers and launched Canine Kids® in July 2009. Karen and her team run training centres in Camberley, Godalming and Farnham area and do one to one training and behaviour councelling through out Surrey, areas of Berkshire and Hampshire. We can travel further if required. Karen has a strong passion for her job and ultimately wants the best for every dog and family that comes through her doors. You can be quaranteed to be given the highest quality of service by Karen and her team.
