🌟 About Me: Hello there! I'm Julie, a dedicated professional in the driver education industry with a passion for guiding individuals towards becoming safe and qualified drivers. My journey began in 2003 when I achieved my qualification as a Driving Instructor, realizing a lifelong ambition and following in my father's footsteps. Helping young people navigate the road to safe driving has always been at the core of my mission. Life took an unexpected turn when my now ex- husband received an opportunity to work in Dubai, leading us to embark on a 15-year adventure in the Middle East. During this time, I temporarily stepped away from teaching. However, upon our return to the UK, the challenge of finding a Professional Driving Instructor for my 17-year-old daughter opened my eyes to the struggles parents face. This personal experience ignited my determination to re-qualify as an instructor, and I found immense joy in helping my daughter and other students achieve their driving dreams. In the wake of the global changes brought about by Covid, the demand for Driving Instructors soared. Distressed parents, unable to find professional help, approached me daily. Witnessing this struggle motivated me to create online courses, offering parents valuable insights and guidance for supporting their teenagers through the learning process. I also initiated the "Private Practice" Facebook Group, a community where I freely share advice to enhance home practice. 🚗 Online Courses: My online courses are designed to empower parents to provide the right support at home, ensuring their teenagers receive effective training. Having experienced the challenges firsthand, I understand the importance of quality instruction during private practice. Through these courses, I aim to bridge the gap and equip parents with the knowledge and skills needed to guide their teens safely to success. Whether it's learner drivers passing their tests or supervising drivers facilitating effective private practice,  I am here, committed, and ready to serve. Join me in the journey of empowerment and excellence! Let's navigate the road to success together! 🚦🌟

Abbeywood remains fond in my memories and I really cherish the time I have spent there. Truth be told I have never been that good in academics before I went to the UK but I believe the fun I had in school there made me a person who was eager to learn more and develop a thirst for knowledge. Please send all my love and thanks to all the teachers there who have supported me through my high school days at Abbeywood. Thank you very much for providing me with a safe and comfortable learning environment. A lot of what I have learnt there has shaped the person I am today, not just in academics but also morally. I believed I have gained a lot of confidence and become a very critical thinker during my time there. Do send my regards to the community in Abbeywood, especially the teachers that taught me and my fellow friends. Thank you too sir for being very encouraging and supportive!

Heavy Metal Therapy

heavy metal therapy

London

Heavy metal therapy is an online resource and community of people who find metal music helpful for mental well being. It is a place to find and share experiences of how metal has helped us, the meaning we take from songs or lyrics, and play lists that we have found useful. It is for everyone, so we don’t judge each others metal preferences. If you would like to share your own recovery story about how metal has helped you please contact us, we can make stories anonymous if you prefer. We continue to develop a few shared playlists under heavy metal therapy, which can be expanding and changing. We like people to share their own music or art if it comes with a reason/message to do with mental health. We may be a small and select group, but we are open to suggestions of expanding. Hopefully over time this will become led by and shaped by those who use it, so it’s not set in stone, it can grow and change. See this video for a bit more about us. Heavy metal therapy is both a website and on social media, so find us on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram. We are a registered Community Interest Company (more here) Quick disclaimer: we know it’s called heavy metal therapy, but we are not claiming to be a substitute for psychological therapy, we are a self-help and peer support community. If you feel you need support from mental health services please seek it through appropriate channels (in the UK this is usually via your GP). Also, all things metal tend to be quite sweary and have dark themes, so there’s quite a bit of that in the stories and playlists.
