ABOUT US The Adam Virgo Academy was established in 2018 by former Celtic FC and Brighton & Hove Albion professional footballer, Adam Virgo. The academy promotes an inclusive, safe environment where players are free to progress at their own pace while enjoying the professional feel of facilities and coaching in a football environment. Aimed at boys and girls aged 5-13 of any ability or background, the academy programming provides a range of different training sessions for its players. It has been structured to ensure maximum fun, participation and progression in areas such as teamwork, movement and balance, football skills and energy for football - and life. The academy offers weekly training sessions which take place in the best indoor and outdoor facilities during the school term. Then camps during the school holidays which are tailored according to the players ages and abilities. Situated in one of the islands most beautiful but quietest places, we are surrounded by an area of outstanding natural beauty and nature reserves. If you like peace and quiet, nature, wildlife walks and car-free bike rides - but like a good pub and a few shops within easy walking distance, then we are the place for you.. Oakdene Orchard is a special campsite in a large site of old fields and woodland. We are open just a few weeks a year. It's enclosed and sheltered from bad wind by its large trees and hedgerows, giving a sense of privacy and security, but still feeling open to all the space and country darkness that makes real camping so different from anything else. We offer just a handful of big, flat, individual plots. All are very well spaced out (most not even viewable from each other) and are available in either: Our amazing spacious Bell-tents, or bring your own tents if you are walkers or on bicycles Each bell-tent pitch is part screened with its own hedging and trees, and comes with a large family size bench with a fire pit and wood included. Oakdean Orchard offers a safe but adventurous place to stay for smaller groups and all those interested in peaceful enjoyment of the natural environment. Although we are located in a beautiful place we are not really a 'glamping' site. But we supply water, toilets and hot showers for all visitors free.
