WHO WE ARE UK Sports Schools offers specialist free advice and support for parents and students aged 10+ seeking to attend independent private schools in the U.K. that combine academic excellence with clear, proven and potentially elite pathways in football. We can help, because we have been through the process as parents 6 years ago, and since then, we have researched and established strong connections with some of the leading schools in the U.K. There are many excellent private independent schools in the U.K. with strong academics and offering a range of sports. However, when seeking a school specifically for football, you need to select carefully. A player who is serious about football needs a specialist U.K. football boarding school environment which is geared towards football progression and mirrors a pro club academy experience as closely as possible. The school should be playing at the highest levels in the country, offering a competitive fixture list with other top schools, non-league teams and pro academies and having an expert coaching team with influence in the game. Further, ideally the school should have a proven track record of clear pathways into professional football clubs or developing players who then go back to their home countries and play at a good level or go on to gain sports scholarships at US universities. We provide you with our expert, personal, insightful and unbiased advice so that you are able to find the right school for your son or daughter and most importantly have peace of mind.

A very warm welcome to Valley College, situated on Ewood Campus. I am delighted to be Head of Valley College , an educational environment which is focused on its mission statement 'Preparation for Adulthood, Citizenship and Employment' (PACE). It is so important to ensure all learners gain the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to lead confident, healthy, independent lives, and become informed, active and responsible citizens in society. Having been appointed as Head of Valley College and Ewood Campus in September 2021, I would like to share some information about the provision for Valley College learners. Valley College learners are supported by skilled and familiar staff and alongside their advocates, create a bespoke individualised pathway to ensure future aspirations are achieved. Learners are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities across and beyond the curriculum, contributing fully to the life of the college and their communities. Learners have the opportunity to reflect on their experiences and understand how they are developing personally and socially, tackling many of the spiritual, moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing into adulthood. Within Valley College, learners are able to develop new skills and access the community, and sessions are focused on preparing learners for adult life. Valley College ensures all learners leave with relevant qualifications (if appropriate) and gain their desired aspiration destination. We work together with our learners to increase their independence, so they can take more control over their lives. Valley College is a friendly place where learners can develop interests and gradually gain the skills and confidence they need to move on to the next stage of their lives, preparing them for adulthood, citizenship and employability.

Multiflex School Sports

Altrincham

ABOUT US Multiflex School Sports was originally started in 1989 by athletics coaches Tom Davies and Ron Newton. The original company name was T & R Sports Development. T & R Sports Development were given financial backing by ICI and later Astra Zeneca to deliver a sporting programme to Primary schools and High Schools to enthuse young children about sport. This programme used high achievers in sport such as Great Britain international athletes and professional Basketball players to deliver a programme that not only developed fitness and skill levels of young children but increased their enjoyment of sport and gave them a route into sports clubs outside of the school environment. Following the success of this programme Multiflex Sports was formed and went on to continue this sporting programme with local authorities and also Sports-hall athletics and Eveque sport and leisure. In 2005 the government introduced P.P.A. (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) to all UK Primary Schools. This meant that all teachers would then be allocated 2 hours a week away from their class timetable to make use of their PPA time effectively. Coincidently 2 hours a week is also the amount of time each child should receive P.E. lessons for so Multiflex altered their business model to provide PPA cover for schools in and around Cheshire. Mark Webb who is the Managing director of Multiflex realised there was an opportunity to provide high quality P.E. lessons in line with the National curriculum guidance on a weekly basis, whilst also providing support for schools and teachers through PPA cover. Multiflex developed a P.E. scheme for Primary schools that covered 6 areas of sport in line with the curriculum. The areas are as follows: Athletics Dance Gymnastics Invasion Games Striking and Fielding Net and Wall

Our website is subscription based and features videos from grassroots coaches, elite level clubs, academies and professional players all sharing exciting ideas and insights. Our vision is to build a global, inclusive, online community of coaches: learning, interacting and creating, together. It is through our work with our clubs, that we have become acutely aware of the challenges facing amateur, semi-pro and even professional coaches. We know that in coaching (like most other jobs) people are always looking for new content to ensure their players remain in love with the game; to keep them engaged, learning, developing, and most importantly having fun. However, we are also aware that not everyone has the same circumstances, opportunities, or environment in which to coach. Therefore we are to provide the best service for the lowest cost! Whether you are a professional, academy or grassroots coach, or simply a mum or dad wanting to practice with your son or daughter in the back garden, Edge of Play will provide the same inclusive experience. WHO WE ARE We are lifelong friends and FA qualified coaches: Jack Norbury and James Stokes. Football coaching is our passion and we want to share this with the largest possible audience with an aim to support, guide and promote sports coaching all around the world. Alongside our extensive years of coaching, our careers covered roles in teaching and IT which gave us the perfect skill set to provide an online coaching resource.

Where are you on your EDI journey? We are all unique. Fact. Diversity is what makes the world such an interesting and vibrant place. Utilising diverse skills and talents makes excellent business sense. When diversity is valued and an equitable, inclusive culture prevails, people feel safe to be themselves. Staff and students are more engaged and more productive. Over recent years, great strides have been made on a legal level towards making organisations more inclusive, however knowing how to do so takes a little extra help. In our ideal world, equality, diversity and inclusion would become so completely embedded across society that our services would no longer be required… but until that happens, here we are to help you on your EDI journey. We offer a free and friendly consultation call to discuss your training requirements. If you’re not quite sure what an EDI training course should entail, you can trust us to use our knowledge and experience to advise on the length and content of the session to ensure your training needs are met. We employ a range of teaching styles and resources to cater for different learning styles to allow delegates to discuss, debate, ask questions and explore real-life situations in context. We are Approachable We pride ourselves in being friendly and approachable. You’ll get that from our emails, phone calls and in the training session itself. We recognise that EDI can feel like an uncomfortable topic, so establishing a safe space is super important. We aim to create an environment where people feel they can share diverse viewpoints, contribute to discussions and ask questions without fear. We are Committed We are committed to promoting real and lasting change that goes beyond simply awareness-raising. Our training will provide delegates with practical strategies that can be implemented immediately after the training, as well as longer-term measures. International Brass Band Summer School

The IBBSS looks forward to giving our guests a warm welcome. The quality of the faculty virtually ensures a high-octane adventure for everyone involved. Located at University of Wales, Swansea, which overlooks the majestic panorama of Swansea Bay, all participants will be spoilt for choice both in the realm of music and holidaying options on offer. As in any learning situation, the bottom line rests with the quality of the faculty, and in this case, it is as good as it gets anywhere in the world. Each member of the faculty is internationally renowned, not only for their musical and performance expertise but also their social skills, a consequence of a regular diet of globe-trotting, performing and conducting master-classes to people of all ages and abilities. It was famously said of the Artistic Director, Dr. Nicholas Childs, that if he had played the cello rather than the euphonium, his name would have been Rostropovich. He is now perhaps more widely known as Artistic Director of the world-famous Black Dyke Band. Meanwhile, the instrumental tutors represent the cream of Britain’s incredibly talented core of brilliant instrumentalists: the incredible Tom Hutchinson from The Cory Band, Daniel Thomas, Richard Marshall and Brett Baker from Black Dyke, Freelance soloist Owen Farr and Gary Curtin from the Fodens Band. Under their expert tutelage you will be given the opportunity to explore new repertoire, meet new friends and generally have a fantastic time. For those applicants who possess an overwhelming desire to seriously improve their all-round playing skills and musical understanding, then, without doubt, they have chosen wisely, for the fixed intention is to provide them with a learning experience of a lifetime, whilst still allowing time and space for holiday fun. If the aim is to balance a general improvement in overall playing standards with making new like-minded friends, whilst enjoying a little more time in the sun amidst great surroundings, then look no further. In short, everyone enrolled in the summer course will be able to design a great banding holiday with precisely as much music making as is desired. The International Brass Band Summer School also caters for non-participating and non-residential visitors. For those who want to brush up on their brass band skills whilst their partners soak up the sun in a sublime environment, rest assured, this will resemble Christmas in the summer.
