In our increasingly budget-driven and competitive market-place, cost-effective training and consultancy is at a premium. Founded in 1996, our range of training programmes has expanded, in breadth and depth, to keep pace with changes in the social care environment. We have offices in London and Glasgow, and operate nationwide, providing in-house and open-programme courses using trainers who are predominantly current or recent practitioners in their fields. On our in-house courses, usually there’ll be between six and sixteen people per course. Depending on the topic being covered, courses last from one to three days. We train on your premises, or off-site, whichever suits your organisation and your budget best.

For over 20 years I have been an academic researching and teaching in the fields of Marketing, Empirical Methods and Academic Writing with current affiliations and teaching jobs at the University of Vienna, the University of Applied Sciences Bern, the University of Lucerne, the IÉSEG School of Management and the University of Würzburg. I know the challenges and the inner turmoil of modern scientists. Ten years ago, I struggled with the multi-task environment of a job that requires focus and deep work. Motherhood just added a whole other level to the challenge. Eventually, I suffered the mental consequences of being under tremendous pressure and getting rejected by journals and a tenured job.

SESAW is an independent charity, dedicated to caring for any abandoned, sick or injured animal, domestic or wild. All need veterinary care, some need time to settle or recover from bad experiences before being assessed. Regular volunteers devote time and TLC to look after new arrivals until they are ready to be re-homed or returned to their natural environment. If this is not possible due to health, age or behavioural problems, the animal remains at SESAW permanently or lives in a foster home and some of these animals are available for Sponsorship. SESAW also promotes responsible ownership of animals, including the often neglected issue of neutering. Without the generosity of the public, none of this would be possible.
