Welcome to our re-launched Worskhop! We are very excited to be going forward from many years of creative crafts being enjoyed here. We will continue to run courses in Stained Glass, Silverwork, and Silver & Enamelling, however the studio now runs as a series of independent businesses, with separate tutors. Our courses are suitable for beginners to the more practiced hands, as our Tutors are both experienced and supportive. We run a variety of courses, long and short, and are very competitively priced. As we start our new chapter, we will be introducing new classes in the coming months. We will continue to be a happy, creative and vibrant place, and welcome our many current students as well as new ones. My hope is that the Bristol & Bath Craft Workshops will be a welcoming, nurturing, and inspiring environment, where people from all backgrounds, ages and abilities can benefit from being creative.

344 DANCE SCHOOL is based at DANCE STATION, Alexandra Park, Fishponds, a building comprising 3 fully equipped dance studios, a lecture and music room, changing rooms, rest areas, a studio theatre and a Dancewear shop - KATHY'S DANCEWEAR. Our lessons also operate in rented premises in 8 branches covering the Bristol area:- Church House, Long Ashton The Village Hall, Emersons Green Holy Trinity Church, Bradley Stoke The Batch, Warmley 467c Wells Road, Knowle The Village Hall, Wickwar Children and adults can learn for fun or they can take advantage of the many opportunities offered to them including exams with the ISTD, RAD, LAMDA and LCM; shows; competitions; workshops and masterclasses; summer schools and many other performance opportunities. All our exams are held at our own premises as we are an Approved Exam Centre for all the above examining boards. Whether you dance at Dance Station or one of our branches, the school has a positive, fun, atmosphere to bring out the love of dance and help you get the most out of your lessons. Dance is a performing art and with our beautiful studios and theatres, performance opportunities can be developed to the full. STUDIOS are also available for hire at both our Fishponds and Knowle Branches. FOR CHILDREN it is a chance to learn a variety of dance styles, be creative and make friends wiith similar interests outside of their school groups, build confidence and sociial skills, develop good poise, posture and discipline all within a safe environment with highly respected, experienced and qualified teaching staff. FOR ADULTS we have one of the largest selection of classes in Bristol, catering for all levels from beginners to advanced and for all ages - some of our dancers are over 80 years so it is never too late to learn! We have a great social atmosphere at Dance Station and extra activities often include theatre trips, dance social evenings and meals out. We are also on MOVE GB so if you are a member you can take advantage of their rates. FOR THE SERIOUS DANCER we are able to push you to achieve your maximum potential through the large range of classes and dance techniques on offer, variety of teaching staff, and availability of masterclasses with professionals, and opportunities for private tuition to enable you to compete at the highest levels. We also train Dance Teachers as well as professional dancers, and our teachers are spreading their knowledge all over the country and indeed, the World! Ex-students have gone on to full-time vocational training at such places as Elmhurst, Hammond, The Royal Ballet, Laine Theatre Arts, Rambert, Northern Ballet School, Northern Contemporary, London Studio Centre, Arts Ed, Italia Conti, Bodyworks, Masters, Millenium, Bird, Performers, Wilkes & Liberatus as well as our own 16+ vocational course. Veritas Gymnastics provides a fun friendly environment for your child to develop physically and socially. Gymnastics is a great sport for all abilities to take part in and helps to improve physical fitness, balance and co-ordination of all ages. Our classes for school aged children are based within Sir Bernard Lovell Sports Centre in Oldland Common and local primary schools in the Bristol area. Our main focus is recreational gymnastics; our program starts for children aged 4 in full time school and our classes are suitable for children up to the age of 16. All children have the opportunity to work towards new skills on floor, vault, trampette, beam, bar air track and also have the opportunity to work towards Gymnastics Badges and Awards. All children work at their own individual pace and emphasis is on personal achievement. Our professional welcoming approach creates a friendly atmosphere for all children to learn whilst having fun.

We have decided to cap sessions at 16 participants, to allow for space in the gym. As much as Covid regulations have eased, we believe that it is worth keeping the space in the gym. In addition to this, it makes for a better training environment if the gym is not too crowded. However, at times we may allow additional attendees at the coach’s discretion. We will continue to monitor this. We currently are not requesting participants to show a negative test before training. We would ask however that you are sensible. If you are showing covid symptoms, then please do not attend a session. If you do test positive please do let us know as soon as possible so we can contact other members so everyone can test themselves. Please do maintain social distancing as much as is possible in the gym. We will continue to review this and if we are unfortunate enough to have cases in the gym, or if government guidance changes, then we may have to think about asking for a negative test result before attending. Gemini run semi structured sessions as these sessions are for adults. There will be a group warm up and basic lines and/or conditioning at the start of each session. After this, participants will be able to use the gym as they see fit. However, there is always a coach in the room who will be more than happy to offer coaching advice and guidance if requested of them and please don’t be afraid to ask us – it is what we are there for! Coaches will also monitor the room and if a particular piece of apparatus is busy we may ask you to rotate to a different piece if you have been on the same one for a while. Whilst we make every effort to ensure sessions go ahead, please be aware that there may be times that sessions will have to be cancelled. If this happens every effort will be made to make up the missed session, either by rolling over your session to another day or adding an additional session to make up for this. This usually only happens due to staff sickness or unavailability due to training courses or competitions. BG Membership We do require all our members, whether casual or regular, to be BG registered. This is for insurance purposes as gymnastics is a high risk sport and accidents can occur. The membership is £19 for the year. If you chose not to become BG registered, then you accept that you are training entirely at your own risk and Gemini are not liable for any accidents that happen. We also reserve the right to deny entry to anyone who is not registered. https://www.british-gymnastics.org/renewal-options Missed Sessions If you cannot make a session, we understand! Life happens. However, we would appreciate it if you could let us know at least 24 hours before the session so we can fill your space. We do quite often have a waiting list due to the capped numbers. If you let us know 24 hours or more in advance that you cannot make a session, we are more than happy to roll your session over to another one WITHIN THE SAME MONTH. However, if you do not let us know then we will not allow the session to be rolled over and you will not receive a refund. Of course, if there are extenuating circumstances, we will judge these on a case-by-case basis. New Members We are always happy to welcome new members. However, I would ask that you please don’t share the booking link with anyone. If anyone is interested, then please do give them Becky’s contact details so she can set them up on the system before booking in for sessions. Behaviour and General Etiquette At Gemini we have worked hard to create friendly and fun adult sessions, where we can genuinely say most of our members become friends. To this end, any unsociable behaviour will not be tolerated. All our members and staff have a right to be respected and treated fairly. Any abuse (verbal or physical), disrespect, bullying etc will never be tolerated and if this happens you will be asked to leave the club immediately.
