My name is Amy Powell and I am a catalyst for reconnecting people with their innate creativity. At Bristol Art For All we facilitate friendly, inclusive learning environments where people can explore their creativity. We started in 2015 running an open access drop in face-to-face community art class in Easton in Bristol. From December 2019 to March 2020 sessions moved to Hamilton House in Stokes Croft Bristol and since April 2020 have been online. Online sessions are run in partnership with local charities as well as sessions open to all adults. Current partners include Age UK and St Mungo’s Recovery College. All online sessions are around a theme selected by the participants, who use the art materials and skills they already have to devise their own projects. Support is on hand to give input on what is made. The sessions act as an online art studio with time for making and opportunities to share and get feedback on artwork. Participants are seen as artists first with the acceptance that we are all on our own life journeys. The focus is on creating learning environments where people enjoy the process of making. With this strong foundation people can have the confidence and resilience to develop further skills. This website gives a taste of the work made over the course of Bristol Art For All. Myself and Rosa Hewitt began Bristol Art For All in 2015. In 2017 Rosa went to the University of Hertfordshire to study Art Therapy. She now works in London as an art therapist with children. I continued with the project in Bristol with the support of volunteers, building my knowledge, experience and skills by studying courses in teaching, facilitation, communication and social enterprise. As well as volunteering with Arts and Health organisations including Studio Upstairs, Bristol Art on Prescription, Workers Education Association (WEA), Milestones Expressions programme and St Mungos Recovery College where I currently run their online art class. I love being a catalyst for people to reconnect with their creativity. It is a great privilege to have worked with over 200 people across Bristol and beyond. Some have attended for years others for one session but all have been welcome and encouraged in their art making. I am currently in the process of making Bristol Art For All into an online art school to reach people who would otherwise struggle to access mainstream arts education. I am interested to connect with organisations, which work with clients who would benefit from exploring and developing their creativity with the support of being in a group.

Foraging walks and heritage craft courses.FORAGING IS ABOUT MORE THAN SOURCING FOOD AND NOURISHMENT. The Family Foraging Kitchen is a social enterprise dedicated to tackling local food poverty by providing quality and affordable wild food education to the people of Cornwall. As a C.I.C, a percentage of the profit made from our ticketed courses allows us to provide the same educational opportunities to those experiencing food poverty and/or social isolation for free. We believe that all people should have access to wild food education, as well as the confidence to access nutritious, sustainable, local, fresh food. For every walk or course you purchase from The Family Foraging Kitchen – you help to provide a local family the skills to find free food forever. Modern agricultural methods have meant that foraging, once a part of our ancestral daily life, has faded away, replaced by regular family trips to the supermarket. We are becoming more disconnected from the food that we eat. Given the ecological, social, and environmental crises that we now face globally, humanity needs to – rather urgently and radically – examine its relationship with food and how we acquire it. Additionally, we also feel that traditional skills and crafts are in danger of being lost, especially to our children, which is why we also work with a team of local artisans to offer courses that preserve ancestral heritage and traditional skills. Foraging is about more than sourcing food and nourishment. As an activity, it encourages us to get out into the countryside, helping us to cultivate an intimate appreciation of nature, while letting us better understand local history, science, and folklore. It has the potential to bond families, strengthen communities, and re-establish ecological connections severed by modern life. There is also a good deal of fear and misinformation surrounding the use and consumption of wild plants, and we believe that the best way to combat this is to share knowledge, helping communities to understand how their wild environments can be used for good. While our foraging walks, talks, and courses primarily take place across southeast Cornwall and Plymouth, we also have a fixed outdoor education centre for our skilled craft courses, which is based upon the Antony Estate in Sheviock. Here we have an outdoor classroom, covered outdoor work and cookery area, apiary, woodland, orchard, reservoir, and facilities, such a compost toilet – each established in line with our environmental and ethical policies. The facilities on site have been designed and built to accommodate for disabled accessibility. The Doncaster Book Award strives to promote reading for pleasure among our young people, in order to create a positive attitude towards books and reading and to extend reading choices. This will, in turn, lead to improved literacy levels, better educational outcomes and thus improve future economic prospects for Doncaster’s children. We also strive to provide children with opportunities for new and exciting experiences based around books and reading, to encourage positive social interaction between young people from all parts of the Borough and thus help make Doncaster a thriving reading community. All About Us The Doncaster Book Award (DBA) is a not-for-profit Social Enterprise Company Limited by Guarantee. It is run by a committee of five volunteers who give their time free of charge. We are fully inclusive and all our events and activities are open to everyone and free to attend. ALL of the funding generated goes to cover running costs and provide our young people with fun and exciting reading-based activities. We are now into our 14th year of operation and have gone from 13 schools in our first year to over 75 in 2018. The DBA is unique in that it is entirely child-led; the website, logo and slogan have all been originally designed by the young people of Doncaster; they also choose the books on our lists, and they vote for the shortlist and winner each year. No adult gets a say! Our website is designed to give children a voice about what they are reading via our Reviews page and to showcase their activities. We are developing this idea further by providing slots for our young people on our monthly radio show and podcast on Sine FM. We provide an exciting and varied programme of events, activities and competitions that keep the profile of reading high, generate enthusiasm and the idea that reading is fun. These have been extremely varied and have included: visits from hugely popular authors such as Cressida Cowell, Andy Cope, Darren Shan, Simon Mayo, Cathy Cassidy and many more illustrator talks and workshops from artists including Chris Riddell, Viviane Schwarz, Liz Million, Chris Mould and Martin Brown Drama and Dance workshops working with a local theatre company, Talegate Theatre Vlogging workshops Poetry slams Ceramics workshops Sports-themed events ... the list goes on! The Sapphire Project Organisation is an exciting new modern-day service for adults age 18 and over living with a learning disability. We want to understand what people want from their support, and to make sure that families and friends know how we will help them to make it happen. We offer a unique learning environment for our service users and although support needs may differ, we know that with the right support, people with learning disabilities can live full and meaningful lives. Aims Our aim is for service users to develop competence, respect, dignity, responsibility, independence and to promote their inclusion within the local working community. Working closely with service users we aim to find out what their passions are and wherever possible assist with overcoming challenges and removing barriers in order to enable them to live more fulfilling lives. What we offer Service users are offered the opportunity to develop transferable work skills, enterprise skills, independence skills, practical skills and social skills all within a variety of settings while being supported by qualified staff. Our project includes a café, a licensed bar and a kitchen garden all of which is open to the general public. We also offer a opportunities to develop general maintenance and wood working skills. Service users also have the opportunity to carry out a number of routine domestic tasks to help develop their independent living skills. These include, planning and shopping, cooking meals, basic housekeeping, getting out and about in the community and residential experiences. We support people in developing work and independence skills whilst having fun and making friends. Our aim is to break down barriers and to promote inclusion within the local community. What Makes Us Unique? We want to offer people the chance to learn valuable life skills along with work skills and our base at Hillsborough Arena provides us with numerous opportunities to achieve this objective. We offer an attractive, non-institutional environment with a team of committed staff with a very low rate of staff turnover, so people can develop strong, beneficial relationships over many years. We also offer a dedicated key worker to overlook and support the needs of both the service user along with the parent/carers. We want to understand what people want from their support, and make sure that families and friends know how we will help them to make it happen. From a tiny enterprise in a spare bedroom to the largest independent first aid training provider in the UK, get to know imperative training... Humble beginnings In the third bedroom of David and Rachael Howarth's first home is where imperative training truly began in 2003. But instead of the 20 full-time staff and 200+ nationwide trainers we have today, there was just one first aid trainer in the company - and this was David! (But you can call him Dave). With a goal to become the number one first aid training company in the UK, Dave and Rachael focused on filling their freelance training diary to first begin establishing imperative training's own customer base. It was this which laid the foundation for Dave to develop the dynamic, fun and unique training style we still proudly deliver to this day. From day one, Dave and Rachael strived to work with blue chip organisations, knowing that these businesses would share the same values and goals as the growing imperative brand. Despite a challenging economic climate, Dave and Rachael were able to build a successful business and in 2005 were thrilled to welcome House of Fraser as their first major client, who still to this day chooses to work with imperative training. Nationwide Trainers, Accreditations and More... Since 2006 imperative training has gone from strength to strength, welcoming a large team of nationwide trainers to teach our courses and hiring a Trainer Manager to ensure the delivery of each session is the same high-quality and engaging experience as when Dave first began the company. Fast-forward to 2011 where we launched our websites, featuring our suite of online health and safety courses including Food Safety, Manual Handling and AED Training as well as being a hub for our exclusive first aid tips and informative blog articles. Since establishing ourselves in the training world, we've welcomed big brand names to our customer base and have continued to build strong business relations with them to this day! So far we've worked with clients such as Starbucks, Sainsbury's, Costco, Kidsunlimited, Selfridges and Radisson Edwardian Blu Hotels and look forward to building relationships with more companies as we continue to expand and grow. In October 2013, the HSE dropped approval for first aid and training companies, leaving us to choose between continuing to provide our training courses with no approval or become an accredited provider. For us, this decision was a no-brainer; of course we wanted to be able to provide accredited courses to our clients! And so we became a Diamond Approved Centre of TQUK, this means all of our training is of the highest quality and we can proudly provide nationally recognised qualifications to our learners. Going Above and Beyond Since first becoming established as a company in 2003, imperative training has gone above and beyond not only in the first-class training is provides, but in its determination to develop, grow and constantly come out on top against any other organisation. As we first began to become known in the training world, we created our very own set of company PILOT values which we strive to embody in every aspect of work we do, these are Passionate, Integrity, Learning, Ownership and Team Work. The LLI Directors come from Wales, Jamaica, Nigeria and England, and we are currently operating on Zoom. Join us on Zoom - every Friday or at one of our special monthly focus groups - to check these out Click HERE Initially based in Wolverhampton, Learning Links International founder, Liz Millman, worked with colleagues in Wolverhampton and the wider West Midlands, making links with Jamaica, as well as developing and managing the Black History Month Programme in North Wales. Click HERE In 2014 LLI gained the National Sector for Voluntary Organisations Award: Investing in Volunteers. By 2016 LLI was working mainly in Wales and we are grateful to Maggie Ogunowa for helping us set up an office in Penygroes. At present our focus is in finding new ways to research the shared histories and links between communities and countries, and telling these stories using a range of approaches working with poets, teachers, authors, academics and entertainers. With our developing Zoom skills we started 'Black History Lunchtime Coversations' every Friday lunchtime - teaming up with 'Belong Nottingham' and 'Highlands and Slavery' This is going well. The 'Pennants Project' team meet evrey few weeks and we are making good progress towards raising the funds to refurbush the school in ennants and build an Infant Department. We are also currently exploring the links that Wales has around the world, as well as looking at ways to celebrate Welsh Language and Culture, and due to Liz's current location, we are exploring the way that the story of colonial invasion of the Australian continent is told. It was recently 250 years since Cook landed, so there is lots of TV coverage of the story - told in many different ways. In the UK we work with a wide range of organisations and schools, including Arts Council Wales, , Race Council Cymru, Rotary International and Wales International/ Cymru a'r Byd. In Jamaica we work with the Institute of Jamaica, Edutainment Promotion and the Jamaican Language Unit, as well as the Rotary Club of May Pen and Clarendon Council.

Our social development skills training programme is designed to help them solve problems and become fully integrated into their communities. It is also tailored towards enabling young people to interact with people from all backgrounds, cultures and age groups.
