Since 2009, we have been finding the easiest Low Tech ways to cultivate mushrooms. Mushroom growing can be a complex process, but we believe that anyone can do it if they choose the right methods. So, we created GroCycle: an innovative social enterprise based in Devon, United Kingdom with a mission to teach everyone the easy way to grow mushrooms. GroCycle offers a range of mushroom growing courses, including the flagship Low Tech Mushroom Farming Online Course, which includes more than 70 video lessons with step-by-step instructions for planning, building and running a small scale mushroom farm. We believe the world, society, and individuals, in general, have moved with the times; education has fallen behind in a rapidly changing world. Our mission is to facilitate a new way of learning by recognising young people with gifts and providing support to help students reach their full potential. As an organisation, we use our skills from running sports and youth clubs to engage those hard-to-reach young people, such as those who struggle in mainstream school settings. In addition, we use resources and specialist skills provided by Edclass for a complete curriculum ranging from Business studies to Physical Education. Edclass has over 12,000 lessons to choose from, focusing on GCSEs, Functional skills and academic BTECs. We also offer vocational courses and work experience alongside our GCSE scheme, helping students become more versatile in their current skillset and build confidence.

Connectforce Community CIC is a social enterprise building connection, creativity & confidence within marginalised communities through collaboration with our network of artists. Why artists? Artists and performers are trained communicators, brimming with empathy and openness, and Connectforce is passionate about providing an accessible outlet for these skills to have a positive impact on wider society. With a network of over 100 artists, we work with communities to build programmes that best suit their needs. Through one-on-ones, mentoring and group workshops, we bring together artists with people of all ages who would benefit from support. Our story Connectforce was established in May 2020 as a COVID-19 emergency response, seeking to combat the isolation and growing disconnect for UK care home residents. Initially set out to provide the means with which these residents could communicate with their loved ones: donating electronic devices to over 165 of the most critically in-need care homes across the country. Since then, the national and global situation has developed, and Connectforce has grown and adapted; recognising the importance of going much further than the donation of physical resources to get to the root of the profound problem of social isolation within the communities that we work in.

RGG Associates are one of the leading national providers of training for the Level 4 Diploma in Careers Information & Advice and the Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance and Development as well as the Level 6 Certificate Careers Leader qualifications. All qualifications are accredited by OCR and we work with organisations to design and develop bespoke training and coaching programmes to meet the requirements of their staff. RGG RGG Associates work with blue chip companies, schools, colleges, local authorities, National Careers Service prime contractors and training providers, and in fact anyone who provides professional IAG and careers guidance to their clients. RGG Associates are the local provider for Yorkshire & Humber and North East areas of the Level 6 Accredited Careers Leader training funded by The Careers & Enterprise Company. Traditionally we have worked ‘face to face’ with our learners offering group training workshops and individual tutorials and coaching sessions. We have re-designed our courses to be delivered live online through blended learning. All group training and individual tutorials are now delivered through Microsoft Teams.

Acting Now is an applied theatre company and social enterprise based in Cambridge (UK). Our goal is to transform lives through theatre. We put social, political and civic causes at the forefront of our work and devise creative drama projects that breathe life into the important social challenges facing participants and audiences alike. We are committed to bringing about change in communities and participants from all walks of life, especially those who experience disadvantage. Our core work involves the use of drama in community, health and education settings as a catalyst for personal and social change. We work with refugees, youth groups, women, homeless people and adults with learning disabilities or mental health issues, among others, using theatre to reflect, explore and analyse the issues that affect them. Our theatre projects provide a space where participants can develop self-confidence, new skills and transform their own reality. With them, we also develop high quality plays that are performed in the local community. To scale our impact we work alongside charities and local authorities and strong partnerships have been forged with a large number of community organisations (such as Rowan, Cambridge Cancer Help Centre and Wintercomfort) so as to support their service users in their future endeavours.

Darren Le Baron is an educator, researcher and event organizer based in the UK. Known around the world for his Shroomshop Master classes he is keen mushroom cultivator and teacher. He has been growing gourmet and medicinal mushrooms for over ten years and has translated his home growing experiences into a social enterprise. He is an Organic Horticulturist and Permaculture tutor who supports schools, businesses and so called hard to reach communities around the world to create holistic and sustainable working systems. Darren is a knowledgeable and dynamic speaker who is passionate about sharing his research and findings on ancient African plant medicines, the history and various applications. He is a member and presenter at the London Psychedelic Society, a chair and Breaking Convention committee member. He is also a regular presenter at the Detroit Psychedelic Conference, Ozora, Noisily and Lightening in a Bottle Festivals, as well as numerous gatherings around the world sharing his extensive research on psychedelics and how they can help support humanity in the here and now. Collectively his work aims to inform and empower individuals from diverse backgrounds to cope with social challenges and contribute to community development as well as self-improvement in an innovative, creative, culturally-aware style.

Who we are and what we do Established in 1999, Surrey Lifelong Learning Partnership (SLLP) is a registered Charity. Each year we help between 600 and 800 people return to learn to gain new skills, qualifications and employment. We rely on a mix of income streams, including generating funds through our Bike Project social enterprise and securing grant funding for projects. Our vision: All within Surrey have the opportunity to re-engage in learning throughout their lives. Our mission: To work with partners to ensure that those, in Surrey and beyond, who have missed out on learning in the past, have opportunities to learn and to reach their full potential. Inn Training is a small training company based in Norfolk We offer a range of courses covering short one day “due diligence” courses which may include Personal Licence, Food Safety, Health & Safety, First Aid and more, all at various levels. We can also deliver Apprenticeships We have spent the last two years working as a lead on an Erasmus+ project across Europe, and are currently working on a project entitled “Bev Tour” and another “BeWell” which is about supporting Mental Health around the European workplace. Inn Training also offer Quality Assurance work as well as working with various awarding organisations as End point assessors. Currently we are working with Highfield awarding Body as subject matter experts helping to create the Catering T Level qualification. – very exciting!!
