What you personally need will emerge in our encounter naturally. I will help you to derive practical steps for your everyday life, so that each session can continue to work for you sustainably. And about myself? I do love my work. I love being of service and promoting growth and creativity. I am clear, warm, centred, at least while I am working ;), and  I am usually quite joyful. Wiltshire Equine Assisted Learning

wiltshire equine assisted learning

Bradford-on-Avon

Wiltshire Equine Assisted Learning offers one to one social, emotional and mental health support through equine and animal assisted outdoor learning. creates positive opportunities for young people to thrive in the outdoors in a safe and supportive space, to reset the trajectory of life’s path. allows young people, through nurturing animals, to develop their empathy and find a sense of calm. gives learners real farming responsibilities, promoting satisfaction and pride. Being herd animals, horses seek connection and trust, and they mirror our behaviour. In working with them, learners are able to develop perspective of their own behaviour and begin to regulate their energy. All work with horses is from the ground (not ridden) and so no previous equine experience is necessary. Through interactions with animals, and the outdoor world in which they live, learners enjoy the freedom of nature, gain confidence, resilience, self-esteem and self-awareness by working on outdoor activities and a bespoke animal assisted learning program. Within our farm environment we are able to create holistic opportunities for learners to stretch their expectations and reach their full potential in a safe and supported way. Learners develop an understanding of themselves, their emotions, the perspective of others and in turn improve their focus, communication skills and their wellbeing. Preparation for adulthood Employment skills - we deliver tutoring, to include time keeping, record keeping, appropriate behaviour, health and safety, modelling good practice, team and independent work, and knowledge of job-based skills. Independent living - learners develop an abundance of practical skills, as well as communication, organisation, day to day maths, and budgeting. Engaging with the community - in working with horses, learners improve their social communication skills, their respect of self, empathy for others, body language, nurturing relationships, care and kindness. Health - learners work in the outdoors where we promote the benefit of fresh air and healthy living, activity and exercise, lifestyle choices, resilience, mindfulness and positive mental health skills. Managing transitions Learners are invited for a site visit with their support worker, parents or carers to assess the suitability of our sessions as their alternative provision. Transitions are than managed through a referral form to establish each individual learner’s needs and the tailoring of sessions appropriate to the targets of their education, health and care plans (EHCPs). Following an initial induction session we work to establish a trusting relationship in the first term, allowing the learner time to settle and familiarise, and for the facilitator to assess and develop a picture of their learner-led programme moving forward. We invite future provisions to join sessions to initiate a trusting relationship and understanding of our learner when preparing to move on or integrate into mainstream education. A portfolio of skills and CV of attainment will move with the learner, to be passed on to their next further education or provision.

We offer personalised sessions blending physical therapy techniques with powerful yoga practices and tools. We bring a joint experience and insight from our years of practicing, teaching and studying in the UK and internationally, shaped by our way of living in unity with nature. My aim is to share with you learnings from my continuously evolving personal practice. Work and life took a very fast pace that increased as the years unrolled, especially since I have been working in London with a large professional services firm for over 12 years now. I was very lucky though to recognise my resilient and reflective nature from an early stage and rather than trying to blend in to be more like others around me, I took interest in exploring passions that were deeply rooted in me and came from beyond my background and education. Following an accidental encounter with yoga, I soon realised that I had been practicing meditation and visualisation techniques as a teenager without knowing what those were. I had also always been passionate about self healing and natural remedies and collected articles as a kid from the natural health section of local newspapers. I still keep the habit. Nowadays I research, apply and build on bits of wisdom from different sources as I continue my development journey which expanded to include plant-based cooking and essential oils. I learned how so many things interconnect and how we are all on the same kind of journey of discovery, but always our path is very unique to us. Building on my regular practice of yoga for over a decade, the teacher training course at Nada Yoga School Rishikesh in 2017 and other shorter trainings I completed since then, the classes that I teach focus always on breath and connecting the mind with the body through it. The benefits you will experience from them will be very specific to you. In my case, I have always seen real benefits only with consistent practice over long periods of time, whatever frequency I take, be it 10-15 minutes 2-3 times a week or longer sessions. A regular practice brought me clarity of thought, structure in my emotions and actions, increased insight and ability to find solutions or remembering things which I thought I never would recall (including work related!). I experienced reduced inflammation in my body and reduced pain from tensed or trapped muscles I used to often get over the years. I felt increased energy and joy of life and was able to navigate with more ease through challenging periods of time. I am also continuously humbled by the diversity of positive results my private or group sessions bring to those I share them with. Especially in supporting colleagues and others who experience a high pressure environment or who are looking to start, refresh or deepen their practice.

Educational Academy

educational academy

Chelmsford

The Education Academy provides a small, nurturing, highly academic, and structured environment. The academics keep moving forward despite their behaviors. How do we do this? Magic? No, we provide the flexibility and patience to avoid student frustration. We teach coping skills so students can be productive, happy participants in their education. We work closely with parents and districts, so communication is always maintained, and students can transition back to the district smoothly. Our tuition is lower, so please take advantage of the following services we have to offer: Counseling, Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, Adaptive PE, Character Education, Behavioralist, Full-time school and psychiatric nurse, Neuro-sensory Motor Therapy, Puppy Therapy, Computer and Language classes, Social Clubs, Pre-K through Eighth Grades, and full-day ESY. The Education Academy can not wait to meet you and your student to introduce you to all the services we have to offer your district student and their family. The buzz words this year for Education seem to be SEL (Social Emotional Learning). Here at The Education Academy SEL has always been at the forefront of all our academics and daily activities, especially for our students. Students have to be in a good place emotionally to receive their academics and they need to learn the skills necessary to manage their emotions and feelings throughout the day to maintain their educational stability. Our students develop good self-esteem and work together with their peers to spread its benefits not only throughout our school building but in their communities. The Education Academy recognizes its responsibility to provide opportunities to the children we serve which will enable them to experience academic success as well as social and emotional growth. Setting Our educational program is offered in a modern facility. The school enjoys both a convenience location and the tranquility of being adjecent to a quiet natural wildlife preserve. Our playground and picnic area are surrounded by trees and are located directly behind our school. Caring Faculty The Education Academy is committed to provide a quality program taught by caring, talented teachers. The dedicated faculty and staff receives the support and encouragement to continue to grow professionally. We are strong believers that teachers can and do make a difference. Behavior Management The faculty of The Education Academy recognizes the need to help children under our care achieve social and emotional growth. In striving to attain that goal, a variety of educationally sound and effective behavior modification techniques are employed. Programs & Services The Education Academy is a private school created to address the needs of elementary school children who are experiencing difficulties within a public school setting. These difficulties include, but are not limited to, social skills integration, attention deficit, anxiety disorders, and autistic spectrum disorders. Each child is enrolled by the sending district’s child study team with parental approval and support. Educational programs are available for grades Pre-K to 8. All classes are self-contained and are designed to maximize learning opportunities for special children. The program is highly structured and equal emphasis is placed on academics and social growth. An extended school year (summer program) is also offered.

A big thing for me was struggling to identify with my Japanese side. This not only created issues with my relationship with my mum, because of language and cultural barriers, but it also caused my own insecurities and self-doubt. (I am now very proud of my Japanese heritage, but this led to emotions I wasn’t equipped to deal with as a teenager). Because of this, I was often labelled a troublemaker at school. I even got expelled from my lessons just a few weeks before my GSCEs! Despite actually scoring well on the GCSEs, I did manage to spectacularly fail my AS levels. I worked extra hard to get into a good university (the first from both my mum and dad’s family, whoop! You’ve always got to celebrate your wins!), and that is when I started to love education. In my final term of university, I learned that I was in fact dyslexic, rather than just a “trouble-maker.” My teenage years and early adulthood were plagued with severe depression, and I endured battles with an eating disorder that consumed my life for a decade. Then, after getting married, I became a military wife and was so proud of him and felt like such a team… but had to endure having zero contact with my partner for months at a time when he was on deployment. I won’t lie, it was tough being a military wife! My life has been littered with a lot of setbacks (Oh, let’s not forget I also ‘failed’ at being a landlady in my early 20s, as well as a business owning a bar in SE Asia, and did I mention that I lost my job on the same day the offer on our first home got accepted?! All that excitement and build-up, only to have to let it go… It was a lot). So, with all these setbacks, the thing that pushed me through was mindset work and personal development…. And that is what led me to realising knowing what I really wanted to do. I wanted to help others tackle their own setbacks and be the support that I needed and create a life they love. When I started my coaching diploma in 2016, I didn’t look back. I was focused on creating my own life by design, not by default, and was determined to help others do the same But I still had hurdles. I won’t pretend the road to building a successful business I love has been plain sailing… I attempted to start my business in 2019, resulting in a false start (my burnout forced me to prioritise my health and take a break) and my marriage unexpectedly during 2020 when we were all going through the pandemic. So, no, my story isn’t perfect. I’m not perfect. But I know it’s also possible to restart and redefine your life, on your own terms. I learned that a good life doesn’t come from avoiding the bad times, but from learning to overcome them and become better from them. I’m not a product of my past or any situation and neither are you. I had to realise that I still had the power to create the life I wanted – just like you do!
