Welcome to Stanton Vale School. We are a designated SLD (Severe Learning Disability) School. We are a through school meaning we accept some students on a part time basis from the age of 2 in our Early Years class, up to our oldest students in our Post 16 Department who leave us aged 19 in Year 14. We aim to meet the specific needs of all our students by offering a range of personalised learning approaches and pathways as outlined in the Curriculum section of this website. Stanton Vale is a warm, lively, sensory rich learning environment and staff are highly trained in supporting the physical, medical, social emotional and educational needs of all our students.
We are a busy but friendly school that sits on the edge of Findern village in Derbyshire, funded by the Local Authority. We are a forest school and offer all learners the opportunity to grow and develop life long skills through hands-on learning experiences. Looking after the environment and preparing children to be responsible adults is a key part of what we do and we are proud to have ECO school status.

Seventeen Nineteen gives people a sense of place and the freedom for contemplation. With a range of uses, we give our visitors the opportunity to roam, learn and explore.
