Oxford

Oxford International School was founded in 1987, to satisfy the need for an authentic international school in Dhaka. It had a very humble beginning with a rented two-storied building for a school, just off the main road near Dhanmondi Lake. Since then the school has grown in terms of its student population, range of subjects taught and lecturing staff. The School now has five campuses situated in several locations in the city including Dhanmondi, Gulshan, Uttara, Banasree and Old Dhaka. OIS is a registered school with the University of Cambridge International Examinations, UK and Edexcel, UK. Today, the students of OIS are recognized both nationally and internationally, for achieving high academic scores in GCE O and A Level examinations. We take great pride in saying that a number of our students have received Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards by gaining highest standard mark in a particular subject both around the world as well as in the country. The school has achieved an excellent standing within the community and is an associate member of the Round Square Organizations of International Schools. We have been consistently rated ‘satisfactory’ by the educational consultants from the University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate (UCLES) for upholding and maintaining our international standard of education. Over the years, the school has changed and developed significantly, and yet it has still retained its fundamental characteristics. Many of its core ideas and beliefs are still to be found in the way they are run today. OIS continues to be one of the prominent English medium schools in Bangladesh and is wholeheartedly committed to ensuring the best educational experience for all our students.

Negotiation Workshop Ltd.

negotiation workshop ltd.

Oxford

Based in Oxford, Negotiation Workshop has been delivering highly impactful negotiation skills training and consulting to blue chip organisations in U.K. and Europe since 2001. We stay close to the latest research and academic development in the field and incorporate what impresses us from this arena with methodology that we recognise is effective in our own negotiations. It is not possible to deliver this sort of skills-development and consulting effectively by reading a script. Issues arise, questions are asked and genuine examples and anecdotes are required. Trainers need to be negotiators who have had relevant and significant commercial experience and this is what you will get from Negotiation Workshop. Many other training companies simply don’t have this sort of person on their books. Lead consultant for many workshops is David Bryson who has negotiated hundreds of high-value and often complex deals in many different countries. In addition to his wealth of commercial experience, he is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, has been extensively trained in the widely-used Harvard method at The Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, and holds a BSc.(Hons) in Economics. He has delivered negotiation skills training for the executive education programs of Warwick Business School and Cass Business School and regularly contributes to conferences on negotiation around the globe. Negotiation Workshop comprises a small team of senior, well-respected professionals, all of whom have had deep commercial experience and who excel at communication in the training context. Precisely who delivers your training program is important and will be discussed with you and confirmed at an early stage.

Boarding In Uk

We want to warmly welcome you to Boarding In UK. Boarding In UK’s journey began following the personal experience of a couple during their search for independent schools for their children in the UK. They’ve shared their story below: Having struggled in the past to decide which independent school was right for our two children, we took interest in finding out what really makes a good school for a child, how exactly one can make that judgement and subsequently make the right decision. We could remember the sad feeling that enveloped us when a prep school we desperately wanted our first child to attend declined to offer him a place. We asked so many questions but no clear answer, which led to many more questions. At that point all we focused on was how beautiful the facilities of the school was and their outstanding academic performance but did not even stop to ask if our son would thrive in that environment. We went back to the drawing board and by acknowledging our child's strengths and weaknesses, we were able to place him in the environment that not only helped him develop but also to thrive. Here in the UK, we have world class boarding schools that people yearly apply to attend. This can pose a huge challenge for parents and young people when deciding. Do you go for the "good" school but not necessarily the right place for your child or you place your child where they'll thrive but the school is not at the top of the league table? How do you choose whether to go for co-education or single sex boarding school?

OIBC was launched in 1992 in order to improve health and the quality of life across the globe by promoting access to learning and research. Its maxim at that time was cooperation: cooperation between developed and developing countries; cooperation between academic and industrial institutions; cooperation between scientists, medical doctors and the public. Since then, other organisations have stepped in to promote one of our original aspirations, namely better cooperation between universities and industrial institutions. But the other aspirations remain, and over the last decade we have focussed particularly on youngsters in so far as better communication between scientists, medical doctors and the public is concerned. So now, our current strategy may be summarised as follows. VISION OIBC’s vision is of a world in which wider access to scientific learning brings better health and quality of life. PURPOSE OIBC’s purpose is to realise our vision through educational projects for all generations and especially for the young through building greater understanding of scientific and biomedical issues, MISSION OIBC’s mission is to bring together leading biomedical experts with all schools and lay adults, via live and recorded seminars, lectures and debates, to promote better communication skills and awareness and to create opportunities for all to appreciate science and biomedical issues. VALUES OIBC values its independence, its non-political, charitable status and its expert scientific leadership. We value the acquisition of knowledge by all, and we value the enhancement of education and awareness, best practice and management of life skills, which contribute significantly to public health and well-being. We value greatly the support from Foundations, Charitable Trusts and individuals. BELIEFS OIBC believes in cooperation between scientific experts and the public, between business and complementary organisations, between the developed world and countries striving to enhance their health and quality of life. We believe that scientific knowledge and understanding are keys to rational improvement.
