Nottingham Society of Artists is one of the oldest and most successful art societies in the country, founded in 1880. Our aim is to bring together artists and others interested in the Visual Arts who are resident in Nottingham and district. The Society has a proud history of distinguished members whose works can be seen in major national art institutions, whilst other members' works can be found in practically every regional art gallery in the country, including Nottingham Castle. The home of the Nottingham Society of Artists is St Luke's House, pictured left, a three storey Art Deco building in Friar Lane, close to the picturesque setting of Nottingham Castle in the centre of Nottingham. St Luke's House was built for the Society in 1934. It has 4 floors including a basement, gallery, education studio, and members studio. Our studio groups practice Life, Clothed Model, Portrait and Still Life drawing and painting and meet six days and three evenings a week.

In keeping with village tradition, Lamb Setts takes it’s name from both the ‘Lamb Sacs’ village green opposite, which was used years ago by local farmers to dip sheep, and ‘Setts’ which is the old fashioned term for ‘stepping stones’. Children can start in the Baby Nursery from the age of three months, progress to the Pre-School at the age of two and the Montessori School unit at three. When children move on to primary school, they can enjoy the facilities offered by the Out of School Kids Club. The wide range of facilities gives children and families the security and benefits of continuity of care.

We are the UK’s No.1 training provider for Integrated Systems Engineering, offering our services to over 300 major companies both across the UK and Internationally. The Centre The NFPC is a BFPA certified CETOP Education Centre and is an approved training provider for many ‘blue chip’, industry leading corporations. The Centre employs Training Engineers who have many years of Industry experience, offering support and advice to all who attend our Training Courses. The Centre has 3 fully equipped technical centres with over 3 million pounds worth of up to date equipment supplied to us by our Industry Partners. Having gained ISO9001-2015 approval, the NFPC is at the forefront of approved training facilities, ensuring a close working relationship with a number of Industry Trade Associations. Heathfield has a long track record of high–quality engaging education for children in Basford and Bulwell, this has been guided by our core values of ‘Knowledge, Nurture and Enrichment’. We then use our Heathfield Pledge to outline the expectations that we place on the pupils and ourselves. We are a recently expanded Local Authority maintained school with two campuses. Our original school is on Scotland Road in Basford and accommodates up to 280 pupils plus a nursery. Our second campus is on Highbury Vale (approx. a mile apart). The Kersall Drive Campus opened in October 2015 and now accommodates an additional 420 pupils plus a nursery. Achievement and enjoyment are important goals that we are determined to provide for all of our pupils in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We pride ourselves in providing a secure, yet stimulating, and challenging learning environment. We want our pupils to develop their strengths whilst having the confidence to address targets and areas identified for improvement. Our Academy is a special place which is only confirmed when you meet with our young people and the staff that support them. Lisa McVeigh The Academy was established in 2008 by joint sponsors Sir David Samworth and the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham. Their vision was to create an inclusive place where people and students come first and where students can be educated holistically as well as academically and leave prepared for a long and happy adult life – 70 plus great years. Our emphasis and exploration of our Christian values, as well as our membership of the international Round Square organisation, encourages students to ‘Be The Best They Can Be’ and to explore their own (perhaps hidden) talents and potential in a wide range of ways. Our beautiful and lovingly cared for campus houses a range of sometimes unexpected facilities including a climbing wall, high ropes course, Dance Studio and Drama Pod, a Combined Cadet Force, a fully functioning hairdressing salon and well populated animal care unit. We are also committed to delivering the best academic education we can for our young people and to training and supporting our teachers to be the best and most innovative teachers they can be.
