The Bishop Fraser Trust - A Church of England Multi Academy Trust What is a Multi Academy Trust? A multi-academy trust (MAT) is a single organisation established to improve and maintain high educational standards across a number of member schools. Through collaboration and partnership the member schools are able to share expertise and resources. A MAT has responsibility for the overall governance, finance and performance of the member schools. Who were the initial member schools of the MAT? The Bishop Fraser Trust was established in December 2017 with two outstanding schools in Bolton. Canon Slade School and St James’s CE High School came together as convertor academies with the ambition to secure best practice, uphold the positive aspects of tradition and a provide distinctive Christian education for our families. We were delighted to welcome Bolton St Catherine’s Academy in May 2018 as a sponsored academy and Bury Church of England High School joined us as a convertor academy in January 2022. What is the vision at The Bishop Fraser Trust? Our vision is: To allow all children to experience ‘life in all its fullness’, no matter what their starting point. Christina Armstrong is the owner and CEO of tina aesthetics clinic and training academy and offers aesthetics treatments and a wide range of training courses in house and online. Christina is a highly professional and is extremely educated as in 2009 completed her BSC Psychology honours Degree gaining a 2.1 from the Manchester Metropolitan university. In 2010 Christina went into nursing and become a registered adult nurse at the University of Manchester. Throughout her whole nursing career Christina has been injecting in aesthetics and trained in 2013 with some of the biggest names in the industry. She then went on to completing her level 7 in aesthetics medicine in 2015 with Harley Academy the highest educational level in aesthetics, to demonstrate her dedication and passion in aesthetics medicine. Furthering her qualifications and skills throughout her aesthetics career, making her one of the popular trainers in the North West a claim that is highly supported by her students. The knowledge and skills in Christina’s education is displayed in her outstanding ability to teach others. Christina is fully insured and meets all HEE guidelines; she is in the process of becoming a Nurse independent prescriber on V300 course and works closely with her team of nurse prescribers. Christina still helps in the NHS every Christmas time, as you meet Christina you will learn she has the biggest heart and loves helping others shown in her training courses. Christina is now directing all the training within our Academy as well as expanding her team of trainers Kerry, Nicole, and daughter Kayleigh all who have health care backgrounds. You will meet the team of prescribers and will be paired to one or more in your location on the day of training. The clinic/academy is a clean, friendly, and calming environment and aims to meet all your educational and treatment needs. We train in small groups as we believe that this is much more personal, and our students gain a knowledgeable experience that is communicated with them form highly educated trainers and specialists in this field. We also offer a bespoke training experience with Christina herself for the beginners and newcomers to aesthetics. Who we train? We train from beginners to nurses, doctors, dentists, & beauty level 3/4 All delegates must be over 18 to receive treatments and enrol on one of our courses. Why Train with us? Founded in 2016, Breakdown Bolton is a community interest company which is peer led by qualified and experienced artists who have had experience of mental health issues. We work in many different art forms and aim to offer our participants high quality arts classes, exhibition, and cultural opportunities. We do this by promoting high level creativity, individual expression, and empowerment through art, in a safe and positive environment for those across the Greater Manchester region. At Breakdown Bolton we focus on increasing accessibility to art for those with lived experience of mental health and substance misuse issues. We are passionate about breaking down the barriers, stigma and prejudice and raising awareness of these issues. Breakdown Bolton can provide a stepping stone towards further artistic development for a person whose education, employment, and creative practices have been interrupted by poor mental health or substance misuse issues. At Breakdown Bolton we have a diverse range of skills within the team which we use to develop and deliver projects of the highest quality. We are professional artists educated at University level, having had visual artwork and writing published and commissioned. Our members have been awarded both individual and collective grants from bodies such as the Arts Council and are Unltd Alumni. In 2017, Breakdown Bolton was nominated for a National Diversity Award. Since then, we have been recipients of a New Art Space through Castlefield Gallery, worked closely with NeoArtists in Bolton, and have forged strong working partnerships with regional arts education organisations such as theatres, galleries, and local community services.

Odette has worked as a primary school teacher and Local Authority Primary Languages Consultant. She has been a speaker at national and local primary MFL events and has worked with The British Council, universities and local authorities in France and Spain to provide intensive language training and job shadowing opportunities for UK, Spanish and French teachers. She has also been a trainer for the Department for Education Language Improvement Programme (with CfBT). Now working as an independent language consultant, Odette continues to support schools with their MFL development, providing courses, training, workshops, INSETs and in-class support. She is currently an external tutor for the Primary PGCE General & Specialist Languages Programme at Manchester University, a member of NALA (the National Association of Language Advisers).

I’m Melanie, I deliver a range of creative art and craft workshops in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. As an artist and craftsperson, I enjoy playing with fused glass and textiles. I’m inspired by the array of colour and texture found in nature. The natural wonders and beauty of the sky, water, trees, insects, flowers and the ever changing seasons never fail to amaze me and influence my creative work. I love learning new creative processes and spending time creating art for pleasure and relaxation. I’m a fully qualified secondary school Art and Design teacher with a BA Hons Degree in Fashion and Textiles. Up until the start of 2020 I worked in mainstream education as an Art Teacher for over fifteen years.

All students on roll, currently 171, have an EHCP, Education, Health and Care Plan. The school is organised into 19 classes within three departments, Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. In each Key Stage there is provision for students with more complex needs, who follow a sensory curriculum. Some classes have a more specialised and highly structured environment to meet the needs of our students with ASD.
