About Outcomes Advocacy At Outcomes Advocacy we are passionate about ensuring children and young people with special educational needs are provided with the provision they need to reach their potential. We have embraced the focus the Children and Families Act 2014 places on children and young people with SEN reaching their best possible outcomes. We recognise that parents and carers need different levels of support at various points. At times parents may need skilled specialist advocates to support and represent them in a non-neutral capacity. Our mission is to make that high quality, personalised service accessible and affordable. Being partners with you is important. At all stages we explain each process and your options, and while we equip you with the knowledge you need to make decisions we respect your choices about your child’s education. Outcomes Advocacy was founded in 2016 by Steve Devlin Outcomes Advocacy is the culmination of many years of experience of working with families of children with SEN and disabilities. Steve has managed one of the busiest SEND IASS (formerly known as Parent Partnership) services in the country for a London Local Authority. In this time Steve has undertaken significant training and continual professional development accredited by the Solicitor’s Regulation Authority. Steve has provided a service to over 1000 parents and has delivered over 100 workshops on specific areas of SEN. In addition to his wealth of knowledge on SEN legal frameworks Steve has an in-depth knowledge of how Local Authorities function, including their decision making processes. Steve has held key strategic positions on the SEN reforms management board for Local Authorities, helping to design the new polices, procedures and key documents for the revised statutory assessments and Education Health and Care Plans. Steve has worked professionally in the field of special educational needs and disability since 2002. Starting out as youth worker with a specialism in working with disabled children, he went on to manage local and national projects. Ingfield Manor School is a non-maintained special school for pupils aged 3–19. Our core offer supports individuals with neurological motor impairment such as cerebral palsy to access a conductive education cirriculum. These students have a range of abilities and associated learning difficulties arising from cerebral palsy and other disabilities. Some of our students also have additional needs like visual impairment, hearing impairment and more complex medical needs. We also offer a bespoke specialist provision for secondary aged students with social and communication needs, and / or sensory processing difficulties. Our ‘School for Parents’ service supports some children under five years old who may be experiencing delayed motor skills and can benefit from small focused group work, alongside advise, in relation to early development, where appropriate (Please refer to our Terms of Service). Ingfield Manor school offers day school places and weekly residential places in our Acorns provision for those children and young people where it is deemed appropriate. Lorna has been a registered childminder in Fleet, Hampshire for 20 years. Looking after children from 0-14 years in her home-based setting. In that time, she has worked alongside her husband Richard for 14 years and now works with her full-time assistant Birgit to care for her childminding children. Lorna has gained a huge amount of experience in that time which she draws upon in her teaching of childcare courses. Lorna’s teaching qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Education (PCET) and the NVQ assessor’s award. She also has ‘Early Years Professional’ (EYP) status for her work as a childminder. Lorna has been teaching for over 15 years and as a childcare tutor has worked for PACEY and Hampshire Learning. She trains childminders, preschool and nursery staff in her local area in small face to face group sessions; and by webinar for all childcare providers both close by and further afield. Lorna visits settings to support staff in raising standards and to undertake Pre-Inspection visits to be able to support the setting waiting for their Ofsted Inspection.

After completing her honours degree in Animal Behaviour and Biomedical Science, Karen went on to complete an advanced diploma in Practical Aspects of Companion Animal Behaviour and Training through COAPE. Karen is also a member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers. All members of the APDT are assesed and train under a strict code of practise because they believe in modern, kind and gentle methods. This offers pet owners a guarantee of quality when signing up to a class. Karen feels very strongly against punitive heavy handed methods and believes if we have our dogs as companions and part of the family they should be treated that way. Karen has worked with internationally renowned Sarah Whitehead for 8 years running three of the leading branches of the previously known Alpha Puppy Classes and Pet Behaviour. She also used to be a tutor for Alpha Education OCN accredited courses for new trainers and behaviour counsellors. Now 37, Karen's ambitions and success led her to branch out with her own team of trainers and launched Canine Kids® in July 2009. Karen and her team run training centres in Camberley, Godalming and Farnham area and do one to one training and behaviour councelling through out Surrey, areas of Berkshire and Hampshire. We hold many different events, where members and potential members can get to know each other, and become involved in all sorts of interesting activities. As a charity that focuses on education and opportunities for women, we are a group of over 8,000 women in Surrey that work together for our common goals. Each WI in Surrey is a member of the Federation and they meet at least monthly to engage in a wide range of interesting activities, including clubs, groups and events. At monthly meetings members enjoy practical workshops and lectures. However, it is important that we also have the opportunity to engage outside of our individual WIs. So as a Federation, we aim to put on events in different parts of the county so that all members have the opportunity to attend. We have a presence at agricultural shows, hold workshops and have two countywide meetings each year in Dorking. Our wide variety of events ranges from literary lunches, a day out in London either for Christmas shopping or for a walking tour with a blue badge guide, fiendish quizzes, cream teas, fashion shows, down to learning new crafts such as portrait painting or willow weaving. Everything is possible and the members are encouraged to send in their ideas for the committees to consider for future events.
