Independent Thinkers Education provides outstanding private tuition at all levels, from pre-test and 11+ tutoring through to postgraduate application support. Through our partner organisation, Independent Thinkers Courses, we deliver inspiring and academically rigorous university preparation and academic enrichment webinars. We specialise in advice and support on applications to the most academically selective UK universities and schools. We have outstanding teams of tutors who prepare young people for university admissions assessments and interviews, especially for Oxbridge and medical schools, and who prepare children for 11+, 13+ and 16+ entrance and scholarship exams, and school admissions interviews. Since 2015, we have helped over 200 students gain Oxbridge offers. We also have a 100% success rate for applications to Imperial, LSE and UCL. All the children whom we have supported with their applications to UK independent schools have received offers from one of their top choice schools. Teach Perfect was founded in 2016 to provide high quality, affordable educational support for students at every stage of the standard national curriculum. Our goal is simple – we want children to reach higher, maximising their talents to achieve the best start in life. Many adults, with the benefit of hindsight will often say the same thing; ‘I wish I had worked harder at school’. We are here to make sure that happens. The workplace is increasingly selective and every student needs to be ready to compete for the roles they want in life. Our founder, Sarah Eden-Ellis, is a passionate and driven teacher. Her discipline is English and she has had a long career as Head of English in Ofsted-rated outstanding schools and academies. She is also an expert examiner for Edexcel marking Key Stage 2 SAT papers, for AQA marking the new GCSE specifications in English and for Edexcel marking English Language IGCSE papers. She is a Specialist Leader of Education in the Poole area, providing coaching support for English departments in other secondary schools. Her own teaching standards have been rated as outstanding. Sarah is supported by a professional team who also have the same drive to enable students to achieve beyond their own expectations. As Teach Perfect matures, we will add more subjects to our learning programme and more teaching professionals will join us. Mital is a visionary leader, innovator, learner and educator. She founded the multi-award-winning Spark Academy back in 2009 whilst she was teaching as a qualified teacher in schools. As a passionate educator with a strong social conscience, Mital’s firm ethos is about making quality education affordable; so that it provides pathways for social mobility and brighter opportunities in your child’s future. Mital’s own academic journey came with a fair few challenges, which meant that she went through many struggles and coping mechanisms to keep up to speed with her learning. Diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of 21, Mital came to understand why she processed information differently. Mital shares her methodology to learning in her book “Study Like This, Not Like That”, which she has refined over fifteen years, and which earned her the MBA student of the Year in 2021 – an award out of 20,000 students worldwide. A Level Results Day 2024 saw significant improvement with the proportion of students securing top grades (A* to B) rising by 6% to 58%. 83% of all grades were A* to C (up 8%) providing a strong foundation as students go on to higher education and the world of work. A record number of students will start degree courses at universities including UCL and Oxford. Over half of students have secured places at Russell Group or top 25 ranked UK Universities, and they will complete their studies in subjects ranging from Mechanical Engineering to PPE, and from Design to Psychology. The number of students going on to study either Law or Medicine has increased, showcasing the impact of the school’s Pathways Programmes. Other students hold places on competitive and prestigious degree apprenticeships. Our Catholic ethos permeates throughout the school in how we treat each other and we value the opportunities for personal and community reflection that stems from celebrating being ‘Christ to all’.
