Kate graduated from the University of Leeds in 2005 and worked in the City before realising her heart was in education. She initially gained experience assisting in a number of primary schools and working for a number of children’s charities, before becoming an 11+ tutor in 2007. Since then, she has helped over a thousand children through the Buckinghamshire 11+ and private school entrance exams. Currently, she teaches in both Gerrards Cross and Berkhamsted. Kate lives with her husband and daughter in Berkhamsted, along with their dogs, Boris and Doris. The Centre was officially opened in January 2004. The Centre is a modern, bright building offering facilities for recreation, sport, entertainment, education and information. It is also the ideal choice for PRIVATE HIRE. We have been successful in attracting numerous events – a regular youth club, dog training classes, fitness classes, health screening, educational activities including a computer class for beginners, private parties and even wedding receptions. Essentially, the Centre is provided for the benefit of all members of the community, with a focus on young people. The Community Centre is a multi-functional building which is highly adaptable and can cater for the needs of a wide spectrum of local residents. The building is also fully wheelchair accessible.
