We are a local charitable organisation run by local people for local people. We provide training and educational opportunities, childcare and support. We work in partnership with many other organisations. Our Vision To see Easington Lane working, learning and socialising together to build a strong, vibrant and active community. Our Mission To promote the health and well-being of all the residents within Easington Lane and the neighbouring areas by providing advice, training, education, recreational and social activities through our premises and community transport scheme which are both comfortable and accessible to all.

Edupedia Ltd is an Education Consultancy established by Geoff and Margaret Armstrong, offering management support directly to headteachers and senior leaders in primary, secondary and special phases. We also provide a range of services directly to Local Authorities. We work with Local Authorities to provide support and training to school improvement partners in inspection skills, analysing data and supporting schools with the development of the SEF. Margaret has been headteacher of several very different primary schools, including some with resourced provision for pupils with a wide range of additional needs. She has current, relevant headship experience through her ongoing work as Associate Headteacher. Margaret has worked as a local authority inspector in Gateshead and Durham and is a practising School Improvement Partner. Margaret also has extensive experience in school inspection. Since 2007 we have provided support to schools in challenging circumstances. We have been very successful in providing pre and post inspection support to vulnerable schools.

WELCOME TO DURHAM TRINITY SCHOOL AND SPORTS COLLEGE Welcome to Durham Trinity School and Sports College. We are a generic special school educating pupils 2-19 years of age, with autism or profound, moderate, severe or complex learning difficulties. Some pupils also have additional medical, physical, sensory, linguistic or behavioural difficulties. All pupils at Durham Trinity School and Sports College have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP). Durham Trinity is a relatively new purpose-built school, situated on the outskirts of Durham City Centre. The pupils have access to specialist rooms and facilities such as ICT suite, sensory room, hydrotherapy pool, and a design Technology room. We are developing Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) areas; to allow them to access the curriculum and thrive in their interests and strengths. From September 2019, the school have introduced a 3-curriculum pathway to ensure the needs of the diverse school population are met academically, emotionally and physically; whilst providing challenge and support to ensure they are prepared for the next stage in their development, towards adulthood. We are a Sports College, providing an excellent provision that develops pupils’ physical skills and mental wellbeing, educating them about leading a healthy lifestyle, whilst having fun! Pupils have opportunities to access non-competitive and competitive sporting activities throughout the school year. We provide a Further Education Unit (FEU- Post 16) on site where the excellent provision continues until they are 19 years of age. Our greatest resource is the staff. They are supportive and highly skilled in SEND, supporting pupils throughout the school day to ensure they achieve their goals and become as independent as possible. Together with pupils, families and other agencies, we work together for the best outcomes for our pupils. A very warm welcome to our new school website! We really do feel that the video and photographs show the warmth and welcoming nature that is always commented on when we have visitors. We filmed them on the hottest day of the year last summer- uniform became the coolest clothing possible whilst we made the most of the sun (and shade) to share with you what Simonside Primary School is all about. We are extremely proud of our school and the work we do here. It is a caring environment where we encourage the children to ‘Believe to Achieve’ and to be equipped with skills and knowledge which will prepare them for secondary school and life beyond. Our school has so much to offer- an exciting curriculum, staff who want the best for the children, Breakfast Club, after school and lunchtime clubs, to name just a few! Hello and welcome to Newcastle Beekeepers’ Association Honey Bees are fascinating insects and as a group we seek to understand them better and to support their wellbeing. We are a welcoming group who’s common interest is all aspects of local beekeeping. Our Association covers approximately a 20 mile radius from Newcastle into North and South Tyneside, Gateshead and the southern and eastern ends of Northumberland. We are affiliated to the National British Beekeepers Association, which provides significant benefits including: valuable public liability insurance cover, a monthly magazine and access to education and training. We have a year round meeting schedule with talks, beekeeping demonstrations and practical apiary training sessions during the summer months. Our members come of all ages and walks of life, with new members always especially welcome. We enjoy helping those looking to start or develop an interested in beekeeping and you're welcome to come along to up to three meetings to find out more, have a chat and decide if you'd like to become a member. Engaging, enabling and empowering vulnerable people to regain control of their financesClean Slate is a not-for-profit organisation set up to provide financial education and support to hard to reach vulnerable people – originally to those battling drug and alcohol addiction. Financial difficulties can exacerbate issues for those fighting addictions and make the recovery phase more difficult. Our service was set up to provide free, confidential face to face support to help; not only ‘wipe the slate clean’, but to educate people so that they can manage their own finances effectively, and not fall back in to the same financial problems in the future. WHO WE ARE 01_icon Financial Inclusion for All Our services have been designed to work closely with members of the community who have encountered financial difficulties due to lifestyle choices and prevent the likelihood of relapse, for example, into former drinking and substance misuse patterns, which impact on their financial position in life. Working a lot with service agencies such as Changing Lives and Crisis, as well as housing providers across the region including Derwentside Homes and Cestria, it has become apparent that much of what we offer is equally applicable to help the wider community.

In September 2016, the new school building opened and the school is now a thriving, attractive and well resourced school serving the community of Prudhoe and beyond.
