All of the pottery is made using red earthenware clay and traditional craft methods. Most of the work is thrown on the potters wheel and decorate using coloured slips and glaze. Sometimes materials are added to vary the texture. It may then be torn or broken and reassembled to make contemporary vessels created or recycled from pieces. The images, colours and textures are based on drawings made in the garden or allotment. Using a love of traditional slip decorated and county pottery to comment on our contemporary relationship with the environment. Red clay represents a need to connect with the earth and our long history of care,use and misuse. These pots create an honest picture of this relationship, both good and bad. Standing up for earwigs and brussels sprouts, rusting wheelbarrows and decay, as integral parts of the landscape. Without them life would be infinitely dull and sterile.

Linda Farquharson is a relief printmaker (Linocut) based in Highland Perthshire creating linocuts and wood engravings. Her work is infused with the outdoor world and inspiration is never far from her back door.Linda studied Illustration at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, graduating B A (Hons) in 1986. She specialised in relief printmaking and continues to work primarily with lino printing and wood engraving. For many years she worked as a commercial artist based in Edinburgh, while also exhibiting her prints nationally. Commissions include W B Yeats’ Irish Fairy and Folk Tales (for The Folio Society 2007) and Sir Walter Scott’s The Lady of The Lake (for The Association for Scottish Literary Studies 2010). Now based in Highland Perthshire, her work remains infused with the outdoor world and inspiration is never very far from her back door. Among Linda’s most recent work is a series of linocut prints that include ‘The Tree of Life’, ‘Song of the Goddess’, ‘Nine maidens’, and ‘Earth Goddess’. These bold prints incorporate some of Linda’s favourite images – trees, flowers, animals and birds together with the female form, and her current preoccupation with Goddess mythology. Drawing on stories from the Welsh Mabinogion alongside the legendary Scottish ‘Cailleach’ (expressions of the different phases of womanhood from maiden to crone) these themes allude to tales of transformation and the point where humans and nature merge, bringing a powerful new dimension to her work.

Pupils are encouraged and trained to create their own programs for radio broadcast and shown how to run their own radio station platform within their school. Training consists of real-world broadcasting scenarios, that will prepare them not only in the real world of radio broadcasting but also as future business owners and entrepreneurs. Our founders draw upon decades of combined experience in working with young people by providing teaching and training in new media, Broadcasting and radio for young people and have adopted a cost effective school radio station streaming platform to provide and initiate both live streaming and podcast hosting facilities that won’t let your school down or cost the earth.

Being a Piscean I love water and I am blessed to say I live with my family, by the expansive Ocean and the rich abundant wildlife down on the Dorset coastline in Poole. Since a child I have always been in awe and wonder of Nature and creation itself, enjoying the myriad of animals and birds coming in and out of our garden and my special apple tree that always gave me great comfort when the world felt too big to handle.
