I founded this company because of my goal to see students grow in their weak areas of academia, but also because I understand the effect and influence the perfect tutor has, one who understands and helps their students. I have worked with a plethora of students between the levels of kindergarten and 9th grade in their respective levels of math, reading, writing, and comprehension, some of which have ADHD, processing differences, and/or dyslexia. I would love to help match students with the individual who understands them personally as learners, who can meet them where they are at in the subject they are struggling with, and who can help them reach their academic goals. I am a qualified Primary School Teacher and have a BA Hons degree in Mathematics with Qualified Teaching Status in Primary Education. I have had over 20 years of experience teaching children across all ages. I have vast experience in managing children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). During my time in school I have been a class teacher, SENCo and SEN teacher and I have recently completed a Level 5 Diploma Teaching Learners with Dyslexia/Specific Learning Difficulties. I am DBS checked and insured. I have welcomed students into my home for bespoke one to one tutoring for over 10 years. I have tutored children up to the age of 16 in mathematics (including GCSE higher level) and English up to Year 7, as well as 11+ preparation for both grammar and independent schools. I believe with the right attention and approach in a fun, trusting environment; all children are able to achieve their best and make progress. I am passionate about helping children help themselves to become independent learners.
