We offer our customers a recently developed centre of excellence for tuition, custom fit and putting. There is also a 25 bay driving range and fully stock retail store on site too. As one of Glasgow's leading custom fit facilities, we fit for all premium golf brands including Ping, Titleist, TaylorMade, Srixon, Cleveland, SeeMore, Scotty Cameron and many more. Our fully equipped fitting facilities include Trackman and SAM Putt lab technology which is also used to enhance our coaching sessions and personal development with all students.

Hi I'm Katie, the face behind Sealy MacWheely. I am a passionate spinner, knitter and lover of all things bright and colourful! Sealy MacWheely began with very humble beginnings and came into being initially whilst I was a student to raise money for the brilliant charity, Childreach International, with whom I trekked through the Andes of Peru in the summer of 2013. Once the trek to the summit of Machu Picchu was complete I simply couldn't let go of my wee business and after graduating and moving down to the outskirts of the wonderful city of Glasgow I refreshed and rebranded and began the daunting task of vending at local craft markets. It didn't take long for my business to outgrow itself and soon I was driving across the country to larger yarn and fibre festivals and events and with a little hesitation and a lot of excitement I eventually quit my regular job and took up Sealy MacWheely full time. This of course led me to my wee Yarn & Fibre Shop which would never have existed had it not been for the incredible support of our amazing yarn community. With the help of a successful Kickstarter campaign in the autumn of 2018 I was able to move into my beautiful wee shop in Kirkintilloch where I could focus all my creative energy into sharing my love of fluff and colour! I am also passionate about ecology and the environmental impact of my business has been factored into every decision I make. Both the shop and my home where I do my dyeing are powered by 100% renewable energy and I use absolutely no single use plastics in my branded products. I am proud to announce that Sealy MacWheely has recently teamed up with Ecologi, meaning that for every purchase made both in the shop and online a tree will be planted in an effort to combat the climate emergency that our planet currently faces. Although the Covid 19 pandemic has been a bumpy ride the shop has recently moved to a new premises with an in-situ dye studio and I have absolutely no intention of giving up! In fact I have so many exciting adventures lined up for the next year that I can't wait to share with you so keep your eyes peeled!

Many of the drawings that I produce are constructed via two very different drawing techniques. The initial drawing, or skeleton, is drawn completely blind until I can sense that the main details have been put onto the paper. This is followed by the details being added in a much more careful way looking at the paper and the subject/source. The combination of the wild abandon of the blind drawing and the careful, meticulous details is a process that I find very satisfying. I believe that it fulfills my various impulses as an artist to draw in this way. The tension between freedom and control, instinct and deliberateness and imperfections and corrections are all contained in a single drawing. The action of 'fixing', or almost trying to justify the initial blind drawing is the main driving force behind the process. In terms of subject matter, I am drawn to found images which stir something in me emotionally, and I try to be instinctive in this. The contemplative times when alone and the intensity of love are something that I try to capture in my images. The action of embracing imperfections is something that feels poignant considering the numerous ideals in modern society.

Our golf facilities (Playsport Golf) are second to none, offering some of the UK's biggest and best practice, play and tuition facilities. Our par 32 9 hole course is modelled on some of the finest holes in UK championship golf whilst our 56 bay driving range includes a central island green modelled on the famous 17th at TPC sawgrass. You can also kit yourself out in the latest golf attire in our amazing American Golf store which stocks a full range of equipment for golfers of all levels and all including a unique Price Match promise. Our fantastic football surfaces (Premier Soccer EK) offer superb pitches for hosting 5-a-side and 7-a-side matches. We have ten pitches in total in our state-of-the-art £2m football centre. If you are an adrenalin junkie you can scale the heights at Climbing The Edge, a 20 metre high facility offering 40 climbing routes for all standards, ages and abilities. Of course the little ones can come along too. Lollipop Land is a large open soft play area that all children can enjoy. It not only has the highest slide in the UK at 6.2m, it also has one of the few Volcano slides in Scotland. There are trampolines, spider web, sports courts , ball pools, go karts and much more. Even the best athletes need to refuel and our on-site restaurants and cafes offer a range of snacks, drinks and meals for all the family.

In 1999, West Dunbartonshire SIP commissioned research on the needs of local young people from Dumbarton, Vale of Leven and Clydebank. Findings highlighted overwhelming support for the introduction of some form of youth information service. A steering group, comprising local young people and adults was set up and the idea of a youth led information and support project; for young people by young people was developed with funding from West Dunbartonshire Partnership, Scottish Enterprise Dunbartonshire and Greater Glasgow NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. In January the Y Sort-It Youth Information Centre on Kilbowie road was launched with four full-time members of staff, led by a management committee made up of the young members of the steering group and this committee is still the main driving force for the project today(though its members have changed from year to year). In 2014 Y Sort-It moved to its huge new base located besides the Clydebank Hub on West Thomson Street. Where before the base had been a small and sometime cramped place to hold meetings and groups the new base was is now a massive difference and as such the opportunities are now boundless. So please if you’re in the area why not drop in and you can help us to continue making fantastic history for the young people of West Dunbartonshire. Our Facilities Y Sort It youth centre provides a dedicated youth friendly space with various weekly youth activities offered throughout the West Dunbartonshire are . Our Y Sort It outreach bus helps provide youth activities across the local communities of West Dunbartonshire and our unique Carbeth hut, the Gillie Dhu, provides an opportunity for young people and children to enjoy the outdoors located in the Carbeth Hutting Community, Stirlingshire. We also developed a local shop front into a bike maintenance work shop & training space for our StreetBikes initiative.
