The Rose Arts London was always a childhood dream of mine and it was manifested through a pain in my life, with the loss of my Grandad; Charles Alexander Gardner. He, alongside my Mother and Nan, supported me with my dance and drama training, performance career and attended all classes, auditions and performances. When he passed away, it pushed me to embrace my artistry and passions. The Rose represents three things: A dedication to my Grandad; His favourite flower A name influence; My middle name Rosetta and my mother Rosemarie The flourish of each child who trains with us. As a seed they begin but as ‘The Rose’ they grow. Experience My training began at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and have been training in every discipline, since the age of 3 and teaching dance and drama since the age of 14. Ballet, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Liturgical, Street Dance, Jazz, Commercial and Musical Theatre. Further to this, I attended college studied Performing Arts, obtaining distinctions in the art form, allowing me to receive an unconditional offer to University, where I obtained my degree in Dance Practice and Performance. I have had an extensive career in the arts, through stage, film and television and have received such amazing opportunities I am truly grateful for. About T.R.A.L. T.R.A.L. is a place for all Rose Students to discover, train, explore, create, challenge and motivate what they learn here and to ignite their passion, of why dance, drama, sport and song is such an amazing artistic outlet, which not only teaches creativity and utilises talent but also discipline. The role of the arts builds character and self-esteem and at The Rose Arts London, one of the assets that I hold as an important part, is the family friendly atmosphere.This delivers a guarantee from us, that our space is a positive and productive learning environment, where our students can grow, most importantly learn, and create in an energetic, confident building atmosphere. Students are able to discover more about themselves artistically, gain new friends and be proud to be a part of The Rose Arts. Myself and our teachers, who have work(ed) within the industry, aim to continually make The Rose Arts London a success, with the passion we hold and with which, our goal is to impart our experiences, knowledge and love of the arts to our students. I have been blessed to be able to open a school, attended by such passionate students, to be able to witness how they will develop in years to come. Sharpe Films is the website for Becky Sharpe, a Film Director with a passion for movies that started when she was a child. She went to film school at Central St Martins after studying Fine Art and English Literature at Exeter University. In her early career she created fine art dance films, winning awards and making video installations and experimental short films. She went on to work in East Africa for Associated Press Television and then as a Producer on drama at Hybrid Films in London. After a masters in Screenwriting, Becky relocated to Spain to raise her young family. She made short films in Spanish and English, directed and produced for Sky television and wrote independent feature scripts. She returned to London in 2013 to make a film with disabled dancers for the opening of the Tate Britain (see Tate Dancers), and she went on to set up Sharpe Films.

Ignition Arts is the brainchild of Darren Carr and Harriet Smith. We first started delivering workshops in North London and have expanded over the years to all of London, Essex, and Surrey. Ignition Arts uses drama as a tool to educate, inspire and ignite young minds, offering bespoke drama workshops, creative consultation, mentoring, coaching and training within primary and secondary schools. WSPA is a Part time Performing Arts school based in Victoria, Westminster. We offer a full range of classes to children and young adults from 3 years of age through to 21 years and also run a fun Adult Tap class. We offer classes in Ballet,Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Drama, Musical Theatre, Gymnastics, Piano and Flute on an after school and weekend basis. We are affiliated to ISTD for Dance exams, ABRSM for Piano exams, LAMDA for Drama and Acting exams and BG for Gymnastics. We put on bi-annual show is a West End Theatre plus in house showcases and Competitions . We were established in 1990 and use a pupose built community building with a range of studios.

Amy combines being a Music Teacher in a local primary school with leading ensembles within and directing GAMD. As a flautist she has played and recorded with various ensembles in London. She is also a talented jazz singer and has sung with several highly regarded South London big bands as well as performing ‘We’ll meet again’ and ‘White Cliffs of Dover’ for Vera Lynn! She now sings regularly with two groups – Company 3 and Belles.

Through a series of educational and professional programmes, Spring Up will create opportunities for both established artists and individuals from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds without professional experience or drama training.
