We are Tom and Cara Toogood, we both trained at Hereford college, after which we
got married and moved to Devon. Longdog Smithy is an age old business for a
modern time. Combining traditional skill with the finest quality materials to
make objects that will last a lifetime. Nestled in the Blackdown hills, we are
lucky to be surrounded by hundreds of skilled craftspeople and outdoors
enthusiasts, Longdog Smithy specialises in tools and outdoor ironwork for these
markets. Care is taken over every part of our work, from the blazing fires where
we hammer out the steel, to the Devon forests where we source our fuel.
