Here at Affinity, we train how dogs learn, using science based methods that are kind and proven to work.. As we specialise in behaviour, we understand emotions and provide easy, effective solutions. We have the most fun in class and get the most job satisfaction rehabilitating reactive/ aggressive dogs. Appointments are held on the park or in the customers home, because diagnosing and troubleshooting behaviour is best done where it's most likely to happen. Classes are in Abington Community Centre.

BYM dog training services is run by Philip Mccarlie-Davis. I have worked with dogs for the past twenty years, the majority of that time working as a trainer and behaviourist for companies such as Dogs Trust and the RSPCA. I also have experience working with a variety of other species such as wolves and bears. My training approach is one of reinforcing the positive and I mainly use clickers as my main training tool. Since then, I have completed numerous qualifications in Animal Assisted Therapy, Understanding Autism, Counselling, Mental Health First Aid and a Dog Training Certification which has led me to fulfil my life’s work to enhance the wellbeing of those who experience poor mental health, disability or social disadvantage. PAWS is more than a passion for me... It’s a mission, to bring the magic of Animal Assisted Therapy to those who can most benefit.

The QIDTI Association was founded by John Rogerson and his International Associates to recognise Instructors around the world who have demonstrated the requisite level of professional instructing and or advising skill, personal expertise and understanding of canine training and behaviour The QIDTI Association works on a voluntary basis, encouraging all Instructors to gain the international standard set by the QIDTI Award. All those that meet that standard are invited to join our membership listing as a 'Qualified International Dog Training Instructor' for free to promote it, and those that wish to promote our aims and or work towards meeting that standard may join as a Supporting / Student member. The QIDTI Association supports 'national registration', and considers formal 'Affiliation' with the 'Registration Council for Dog Training & Behaviour Practitioners' (RCDTBP) is the way forward, to protect the public from what is currently an unregulated industry. The RCDTBP was officially founded to hold and manage the registers of Signatories to the nationally agreed 'CAWC Dog Behaviour & Training Code of Practice (2010). The CAWC Code was developed through a series of meetings organised by the Companion Animal Welfare Council (CAWC), following the publication of a national report on dog training & behaviour services in the UK (2008). The Code was agreed by the many industry dog training, behaviour and welfare groups concerned, as a workable document to regulate and improve canine services nationally, with the aim of uniting all individuals and industry organisations under it.

My natural “Canine-Sense” has its roots in my childhood in Switzerland. Growing up with a pack of Rough Collies and Swiss Mountain Dogs, influenced me from an early age. I discovered how to achieve a strong bond with my dogs and became instinctual in understanding their behaviour and modes of communication. When I was 16 years old, I decided to become a certified dog trainer. The only problem was my age. Dog training schools did not accept any students under 25 years old. I was lucky though, when the Head of the Eduqua certified, BHT Hundeschule dog training school in St Gallen discovered my talent, after showing him how I rehabilitated a hunting dog called Barry.

Hi, I’m Caroline and I’m here to help any dogs and their families out there, with any issue’s they may have. I use force-free, ethical, kind and positive reinforcement methods only. I have three dogs: George, an Old Tyme Dorset Bulldog who’s 9 and a half now, who we’ve had since he was 8 weeks old; Milly, our rescue Spaniel who is an ex-puppy farm dog; and Lexi, our rescue French Bulldog, who is an ex-breeding dog. Not forgetting our little Timmy, a rescue King Charles Cavalier, who unfortunately passed away last year. He too was an ex-puppy farm dog.

After completing her honours degree in Animal Behaviour and Biomedical Science, Karen went on to complete an advanced diploma in Practical Aspects of Companion Animal Behaviour and Training through COAPE. Karen is also a member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers. All members of the APDT are assesed and train under a strict code of practise because they believe in modern, kind and gentle methods. This offers pet owners a guarantee of quality when signing up to a class. Karen feels very strongly against punitive heavy handed methods and believes if we have our dogs as companions and part of the family they should be treated that way. Karen has worked with internationally renowned Sarah Whitehead for 8 years running three of the leading branches of the previously known Alpha Puppy Classes and Pet Behaviour. She also used to be a tutor for Alpha Education OCN accredited courses for new trainers and behaviour counsellors. Now 37, Karen's ambitions and success led her to branch out with her own team of trainers and launched Canine Kids® in July 2009. Karen and her team run training centres in Camberley, Godalming and Farnham area and do one to one training and behaviour councelling through out Surrey, areas of Berkshire and Hampshire. We can travel further if required. Karen has a strong passion for her job and ultimately wants the best for every dog and family that comes through her doors. My name is Andy Gussey and I have over thirty years of experience in dog training, including 12 years as a Police dog. I have been helping other people train their dogs for over twenty years and have worked with a wide variety of different breeds from Great Danes to Border Terriers and everything in between with a variety of training needs. I have trained Pet dogs, Gun dogs, Police dogs, Assistance dogs, Support dogs and Therapy dogs. I have always owned English Springer Spaniels, I love their energy and character. I was brought up surrounded by working gun dogs becoming involved in their training as soon as I was old enough and later working them myself. I currently own one very lively Springer and a very fit Dachshund.
