We are a family run training provider based in Devizes in Wiltshire, who aim to deliver the highest quality of training to the logistics sector. All of our Instructors are NRI qualified, meaning they have passed their LGV Instructor examinations, all are regularly re-examined and listed on the Instructor Register. Our administration staff are a friendly and professional team whose focus is always to provide the best customer experience from the initial enquiry through to course completion. What Do We Do? We run a range of over 65 different courses from licence acquisition to management development, all of which can be tailored to your specific business needs. Courses can be carried out at our purpose built training centre, which provides 6 classrooms, a warehouse for forklift training and an onsite manoeuvring area set exactly to the DVSA standards, or at your own site if appropriate. What Makes Us Different? We want to make your time with us as straight forward as possible. From covering any pre-course requirements through to your end test dates, our administration team will plan everything for you in advance meaning you’ll know exactly what you’re doing and when you need to do it. As we are a small family run business, we are able to be flexible and responsive to any changes that our customers may need to make to the running and content of the course to make it specific to their business needs. Something we pride ourselves on is our training vehicles, all of which are bought brand new and ordered to a high specification. This allows our customers to get the best learning experience possible in a modern, reliable and relevant vehicle. Laura is founder and principal of the Nottingham Ballet School. She is an experienced artist, teacher, director, mentor, and choreographer who trained on the BA (Hons) Ballet Education course at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in London. Whilst training, Laura also obtained her Licentiate (LRAD), Associate (ARAD) and Registered Teachers Status (RAD RTS). She began dancing at the tender age of 3 years with Janina Gieralt in Nottingham. Here she was inspired by her teacher and from the age of 10, knew she wanted to be just like Miss Gieralt. Her teachers challenged and motivated Laura to pursue a long term career in Dance Education. Laura has worked in private, public and community dance sectors around London teaching Ballet, Contemporary Ballet, Creative dance and Pilates to people of all ages; with a passion to provide access to dance for all. She has also choreographed for many dance productions, both on film and on stage and has worked on live streamed shows, video and photography projects. She has collaborated with many filmmakers, photographers, choreographers and artists on multiple community funded and private projects. Laura is enthusiastic and encourages diversity and creativity in dance; she is a youth mentor working alongside LambethELEVATE, has taught and examined for the worlds first Muslim Ballet School (Grace & Poise) and taught and developed the Associate programme at Marble Hill Dance Studio, alongside dear colleague and mentor Abigail Cova. Laura has also mentored RAD undergraduate students on their teaching placements. Her pupils have gone on to gain places at the Royal Ballet School (White Lodge), Royal Ballet School Junior Associates, Central School of Ballet Associates, Ballet Boost, The BRIT School, Arts Ed., Performers College, Bird College and The Urdang Academy. Whilst studying at the RAD, Laura performed alongside Darcey Bussell, for the Queen and members of the Royal Family, in celebration of Her Majesty’s 90th Birthday. She was also a Soloist dancer with the Semaphore Ballet Company and later went on to be Director of the Company; here she managed, organised events, collaborated with dance artists, choreographed and taught undergraduate dancers studying at the RAD. Laura acknowledges the importance of continued professional development and is delighted to be a student on the MA (Hons) Education (Dance Teaching) at the Royal Academy of Dance. She is also a Founding Partner of The Dance Teacher LLP, a peripatetic dance education service which offers classes across the Midlands, London and Hampshire. With a wealth of experience and ever expanding knowledge of teaching Ballet, Laura looks forward to welcoming and educating the next generation of dancers at the Nottingham Ballet School.

About Us Lexington Learning was founded in 2018 by Maxine French, a qualified Law, Business and Politics Lecturer and experienced continuing professional development trainer and Education Technologist. Lexington Learning's aim is to enhance the teaching and learning experience by embedding EdTech, Maths, English Literacy, employability skills and social and environmental awareness. We offer a number of services including: private tutoring, CPD for schools and colleges, short courses for adult learners and specialised workshops for educational institutions that can complement and reinforce curriculum learning. Our teaching and research is closely linked to our impact and engagement activities and our staff and students are leaders and enablers of creative and cultural practice in the region, nationally and internationally. A key feature of the School of Arts and Cultures is that many of our staff and students have been, and in many cases continue to be, both academics and practitioners (e.g. musicians, artists, journalists, PR professionals and film-makers). Our musicians, artists and film-makers continue to perform and show their work on a world stage and this applies to our students too. For example, in 2017 our folk music students accompanied our Vice-Chancellor on a trip to China where they performed to great acclaim. Many colleagues from the School of Arts and Cultures work in co-productive ways with sectoral partners and to actively contribute to practice and policy making (e.g. making digital apps, co-creating exhibitions with curators, writing policy briefs for external bodies, investigating the UK’s live music industry, influencing national debates around media habits, the creative arts and cultural industries.) The result is that much of our teaching is extremely well-integrated from the outset with initiatives around employability and employer engagement, and our much of our research is readily translatable into impact and engagement work. Our staff and students organise an impressive range of public events (concerts, talks, performances and exhibitions) on a weekly basis which reach a diversity of audiences across the city and wider region. The School is also strongly engaged with issues of equality and diversity not just in terms of Athena Swan but also in terms of research and teaching specialisms of its staff and students. Colleagues are involved in broader initiatives such as the Martin Luther King celebrations, International Women’s Day, and the Centenary of the Representation of the People Act 1918. Staff in the School of Arts and Cultures are strongly committed to the values of collegiality, fairness and inclusivity and supportive of wider University and national initiatives relating to these.
