Elephant in the Room was founded by a Paralympian and a World Class coach and brings knowledge and experience from life and sport, across the globe, to deliver the kind of training you won't find anywhere else. We know it can be tricky to talk about subjects which you may shy away from for fear of causing offence and we thrive on helping you find what will really work for you, so that you can be more aware and find it easy to be more inclusive. We know that often there are simple solutions to everyday challenges and our interactive and thought provoking sessions can help you spot them.

museum of carpet kidderminster

The Museum of Carpet opened on 12th October 2012 and is the only Museum in the UK dedicated to celebrating the heritage, art and industry of carpet making. We invite visitors to discover the unique story of Kidderminster, once known as the ‘Carpet Capital of the World’, through visuals, photos, films and interactives, which children and adults alike thoroughly enjoy trying out. The story of Kidderminster’s carpet industry is brought to life by our dedicated and passionate team of volunteers, most of whom lived and worked in Kidderminster during its carpet industry heyday.

We are Equal Lives, a disability rights organisation based in Norfolk and Suffolk. We exist to support people of any age who face disabling barriers and we are dedicated to making their voices heard. We are a user led organisation (ULO), meaning we are led by people who access care and support services themselves - with every member of our board identifying as disabled.

I was born with Brittle Bones, this however, is something that I have never let stand in my way. In 2001 I graduated with HND in Technology in Disability Studies from Bridgend College. The experience I gained through the course coupled with my own experiences through my personal life focused my attention on disability rights.
