The word ‘tyro’ is the Latin word meaning ‘a beginner or a novice’ and at Tyro Studios we have created a space for all to learn without judgement or pressure to be anything but a beginner. TYRO Studios is a studio / retail space based in Shipley, West Yorkshire, where we host creative workshops and lifestyle events. It is also home to a curated range of gifts & lifestyle goods. At TYRO Studios we run different workshops and events from floral arranging, to modern calligraphy, water colour painting, macrame & much much more. Our spaces are inclusive and safe for all people. All our workshops are run by incredibly talented and passionate tutors and are perfect for beginners. Our tickets are fully inclusive, you will not need to buy anything from us when you arrive; this includes all your materials and refreshments - all you need to provide is enthusiasm. Our workshops are aimed at adults (18+) as we serve alcohol. Our classes are small (6-10 people) to ensure that everyone gets as much direct assistance from our tutors as possible and run from 1.5 hours to 3 hours maximum (please check your specific workshop for timings) We cannot wait to meet and host you! With a mixture of personalised advice and practical assistance, the scheme set out to help victims of burglary and the vulnerable to feel safe again, and at the same time, reduce the risk of repeat crimes. The fitters could replace locks, fit security chains and smoke alarms, and advise the clients on the best ways to keep their homes secure.

The Clifton Learning Partnership is a Company Limited by guarantee with no share capital (Company No. 7566749) and a Registered Charity (Charity registration No. 1142675). Both were incorporated in 2011. The Company and Charity has evolved from over twelve years of work with the Clifton Learning Community of schools initially as an Education Action Zone, with, in addition, a multi-disciplinary Behaviour Improvement Programme Team, which included roles such as Community Development Tutor, Family Learning Tutor, and Mental Health Practitioner. As the political climate changed in 2010 the key stakeholders at the time; the Head Teachers from the nine schools with whom the EAZ worked, requested that the prudently managed funds from the time of the EAZ be invested into the local community in the most sustainable way possible, in order to help and develop the local community to be stronger, more resilient and to have equality of opportunity. They recognised our ability to work with key agencies outside the education structures to provide additionality for families and children beyond the school gates. In 2011 the Clifton Learning Partnership charity was formed. We are intensely proud of our ability to change, grow and develop; responding to a rapidly changing political climate; and continuing to address the presenting need in a form that is most appropriate. We have always been innovative and taken opportunities. Our practice as an EAZ was celebrated nationally, and it was at this time that we developed our highly successful EAZMAG, which we now sell nationally, with all profits coming to Clifton Learning Partnership.

We are a relatively small club with about 40 members. A few of these have hung up their dive gear for good and just turn up socially. We consider ourselves pretty friendly, don't take ourselves very seriously and are prone to an occasional bout of "milling around aimlessly". We meet at the K2 Lesiure Centre in Crawley every Thursday. We have use of the pool from 9pm but like to meet up to an hour before for a bit of training, organising the weekends diving or just some general chit-chat. We host a pretty active diving schedule throughout the year including dives off our club boat moored in Littlehampton, trips away to Portland & Dover and training days at Vobster, Wraysbury and other dive centres. COMING SOON As a club we also like to make the effort to get away with trips to the Red Sea, liveraboard voyages in the Maldives and Skiing in France Alongside all the diving, we like to keep our social calendar full. Whether its the Christmas do, Skittles and Pizza evenings or just meeting up for a swim on a Thursday night. So if you are Interested in diving, looking to learn, or are already qualified, contact us or come along one Thursday K2 Divers are members of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC). This means that if you join our club then you join BSAC too. BSAC are the UK’s leading dive club and the sport’s National Governing Body, providing an internationally-recognised diver training and development programme.

We bring to focus the manifold inheritance (all things that pertain to life and godliness) that God has packaged for all before even the first man or woman was created! Our main thrust is as follow: Reverential worship of the living God through prayer, sound teaching of biblical principles and its application. Promoting and celebrating the richness of human diversity. Reaching out to the community with the word of faith. Fostering an environment for development of leaders and every member in the knowledge of God. We thank God Almighty for the privilege to serve Him in His glorious vineyard. SERVING THE COMMUNITY We work towards facilitating social inclusion and integration of the diverse community in Oxford. Word Fountain is a registered member of National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), Oxfordshire Council for Voluntary Organisations (OCVA) and Oxfordshire Community Champions. In addition to the spiritual input of the five-fold ministry, the need to develop and deploy internal competencies fit for successful living in the world is critical to our mission. We have organised and funded an Economic Empowerment Day with input from various organisations, Parenting Club was co-funded by the Oxfordshire County Council, Play Day 2009 funded by Oxford Play Association, Women and Sexual Health Seminar, Managing Money God’s Way with Stewardship, etc. In addition our Annual Youths/Children Day as well as Praise Night events have been vehicles for reaching and serving the wider community. We are currently working with the Horspath Residents’ Association to develop a Youth mentoring and engagement scheme for the community.
