SQA Approved Training Centre and ITA Approved Learning Centre The Scottish Beauty School in Glasgow is committed to providing the highest standard of nail technician courses, makeup artist courses and beauty courses in Scotland. This can only be achieved by working with the most experienced and qualified educators, and in partnership with Scotland's colleges and national awarding bodies, such as SQA and Skills Development Scotland. The principal of staff leading our team has had more than 30 years running beauty courses in one of UK’s largest further education colleges, and has worked on the design team with SQA on new qualifications. As well as our vast beauty experience the educators are trained in the delivery of lessons, with most having taught in further education colleges. Most recently we have welcomed a science teacher to our team, ensuring that Anatomy and Physiology will enhance the underpinning knowledge for some of our subject areas. With our main trainer in Nail Technology having won awards in America and being considered one of the top competition judges in Scotland we are confident that our training is first class. This wealth of experience raises our standard above the rest.
The University of Strathclyde International Study Centre provides specialist degree preparation for international students studying abroad. Once you have successfully completed your preparation programme and met the progression criteria, you can begin your chosen university degree. They aim to give you the best chance of success when you progress to your degree at the University of Strathclyde. The International Study Centre programmes are provided by Study Group in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde. Programmes at the International Study Centre are delivered by Study Group with Digital programmes offered in partnership with the online learning experience platform, insendi.
Newton Flight Academy at Glasgow Science Centre is most suitable for ages 12+ and not suitable for anyone aged 8 and under. Keen young flyers aged between 9 and 11 must share their flying experience with an accompanying adult. Yoga Studio Milngavie, Glasgow Yoga Jo’s is a dedicated yoga studio, yoga therapy centre and Yoga Teacher Training School situated in Milngavie just outside Glasgow. We run in person yoga classes for all abilities as well as one-to-one yoga therapy sessions.
Able Driving Skool is a well established driving school and has offered Driving Lessons in Glasgow for a number of years and has over 35 years experience in Driving Lessons and Driver Instruction. All instructors working with Able Driving Skool are experienced male and female instructors. No PDI’s (potential Driving Instructors/ trainees) are employed by Able Driving Skool . Our instructors are reliable, patient and provide a dedicated one to one service to all of our pupils. All lessons are structured to suit individual’s needs, so you can be sure that we will be able to help you succeed in your driving goals. The driving school covers the Shieldhall, Anniesland, Springburn & Paisley test centres. Mock tests can be carried out from all of these test centres once you are at a confident enough level to attempt a mock test.
Little Greene Yoga runs classes for adults, children, teenagers and postnatal mums as part of its weekly timetable. They offer a full program for primary and secondary school, including in-house training for school teachers around central scotland – “Yoga for all stages of life”. Veronica is passionate about teaching yoga and feels extremely fortunate to have been teaching some of her younger students for more than 13 years. As the children have evolved both mentally and physically so has the ”Little Greene Yoga” syllabus which combines her classical yoga training with fun techniques aimed at stimulating each specific age group. She believes that children can be taught the connection between body and mind, gain valuable life tools and respect for themselves if the class is tailored to their individual needs.
