It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to our website, which we hope captures the ethos of our wonderful Academy. Harris Academy Morden is a wonderful place to learn and teach. We have a very hard working team of teachers and support staff; they provide a caring and welcoming atmosphere for our students. The Academy site is a huge site with close to 6 acres of school buildings, sports halls, gymnasium, all weather pitches, tennis courts and large playing fields / athletic track thus providing excellent facilities. The Academy has a limit of 900 places across Year 7-11. We are unlike other schools; we do not want to expand at this moment in time, in fact we wish to remain small for as long as possible! This will ensure a small school where your child is known to staff and a caring environment can be provided. The Academy is traditional in our approach to discipline and uniform, yet forward-thinking and at the cutting edge of curriculum development. The Academy aims to develop the whole child. We have a real focus on progress and attainment, yet ensure students develop their cultural awareness. We have a breadth of extra-curricular activities including Korean, Sports, Food and Art Clubs alongside support and extension in traditional subjects.

There are seven libraries situated in Colliers Wood, Mitcham, Morden, Pollards Hill, Raynes Park, West Barnes and Wimbledon. There is also a Home Visits Service that delivers books and other materials to customers unable to get to their local library.

Flexx Gymnastics was founded by Katherine and Holly. With almost 40 years of combined coaching experience in Gymnastics, from pre-school to international level, both Katherine and Holly have a wealth of knowledge to support your Childs gymnastics development. Flexx was born from a joint passion spanning over two decades, of training, coaching and judging gymnastics together. Both Head Coaches started gymnastics at the age of 4 and they are fortunate enough to say they coach the sport they love for a living . Their love of gymnastics starts at root level, with vast experience in pre-school, recreational, curriculum and squad gymnastics . Flexx gymnastics classes offers children of all abilities the opportunity to learn new skills, aiding in developing coordination, balance, confidence and most importantly, having fun!

Target Literacy offers a range of professional development opportunities which seek to empower schools to achieve the very best practice; underpinned by appropriate cultures, practitioner knowledge, skills and systems. Teachers are encouraged to explore and develop their own practice within a positive and friendly learning experience. We work with all key stages, in Special Schools and directly with parents. In addition we work in an advisory/consultancy capacity with the private sector. Current work includes Series Consultant with Oxford University Press on the Project X reading scheme, research support in standardising the latest GL Assessment Phonological Awareness Battery 2nd Edition and advisor on the Marketing Advisory Group for Mars UK ensuring the company’s advertising is not directly targeted at children under 14 years old.

Dorin Park is a specialist all-age school for children and young people with physical difficulties, complex moderate learning difficulties, complex medical needs and general complex needs. Children can be admitted to us at any stage but most of our entrants arrive in Reception or Year 7 and are usually transferring to us from mainstream early years settings or mainstream primary schools. Our learning experience is designed to meets the needs of our students by marrying excellent personal development opportunities with an appropriate life skills curriculum and a relevant academic curriculum. Developing communication is a priority throughout the school. All our students in Seniors are given a Flight Path for their future development which is reviewed regularly as they move through the school to ensure they achieve their potential in all areas. Dorin Park is a school with a real sense of community – we really are a school family here. We pride ourselves on being a welcoming school with a strong emphasis on pastoral care alongside a rigorous academic education tailored to the needs of the individual. Star objects on display shine a spotlight on gaming culture and history, while children and adults alike can discover the importance of videogame preservation through playable exhibits.
