How much do the courses cost? Dan Lee Training costs are inclusive of all accommodation, mileage and subsistence costs - therefore you pay a half day or flat fee depending on the costs incurred - example costs: Local area (Devon) - half day £280 - Full day £400 - 500 UK- full day rate £650 - 750 Courses outside the UK will incur costs to cover travel, accommodation and a flat day rate for the days of travel to and from the venue. Bespoke courses will cost a little more but that is identified at the initial discussion of your needs. Certificates All courses offered are provided with Dan Lee Training Certificates. We can arrange for courses to be delivered to accredited award body standard. All Aviation Security Courses are provided with a DfT/CAA approved certificate and training record What makes you different from all the other training companies? Dan Lee is a fully qualified trainer (Cert Ed) and is an award winning training designer. He prides himself on delivering quality training and never does 'death by powerpoint' type training. On the rare occasions that Dan Lee Training uses other trainers as associates he makes sure that they too can deliver the courses to the same standard. Why doesn't Dan Lee Training do accredited training? In our history we have been accredited by the CIEH and IOSH but have found the value that these accreditations bring does not justify the costs of setting up and maintaining the administration. Dan Lee is qualified to write and deliver all training courses. You can rest assured that the content will meet the legal requirement that you need to comply with. Why don't you do IATA Dangerous Goods by Air training? It's not that we can't - we could - but we don't agree with the prescriptive manner of how the course is required to be delivered by IATA and the UK's CAA. The IATA DG course does not allow for a qualified trainer to deliver the course in the manner that they deem appropriate. Until they do - Dan Lee Training won't put their name to their list. Remember, we don't do boring training.

Andrew Okaro

My name is Andrew Okaro, I’m a therapist and coach who specializes in relationships, inner child therapy and career transformation. I’m passionate about helping others to achieve their goals and to reach their full potential. I’ve been interested in self-development ever since I learnt how to read, and was able to borrow books from my local library. However, my 1st career was working as a Graphics Designer, which lead to further work in world of advertising. In my 20’s I had my dream job, and a flat in central London, all the things I wanted to have growing up as a teenager. However, I struggled with relationships and found myself repeatedly disappointment in matters of love and the heart. At the same time, I became interested in psychology, in particular the works of Carl Jung, and Freud. What fascinated me, was the idea that your childhood experiences and the relationships with your parents, are key factors in shaping your life as an adult. I also became interested in the world of spirituality and was naturally drawn to Toaism and Shamanism. I studied various universal laws such as 'the law of polarity' ‘the law of resonance’ and ‘the law of attraction.’ But not from the superficial view often portrayed in documentaries like ‘The secret’. I was more interested in the workings of the unconscious mind, and how attraction is often influenced by, archetypes, inner parts and shadow aspects of the psyche. I started to see how the relationship with my mother fitted the pattern of my early relationships. But knowledge alone, was not enough to transform this, and I realized that I had to dig deeper in order to experience transformation. After a particularly bad breakup, I became aware of healing power of EFT (emotional freedom technique) and NLP (neuro linguistic programming). While practicing these for some time I became aware of several shifts which manifested as synchronicities in my life. Some of these were subtle, while others were blatantly obvious, like two ex’s contacting me within a space of a couple days.

Our story starts in the classroom, but unlike most CPR training companies, it doesn't end there. Our co-founder, Roy Shaw, was a classroom CPR instructor for many years before our company was born in 2003. Roy knew what he was doing was ambitious, so rather than do it on his own, he partnered with Paul Martin and Scott Andersen to help in the early years. Our new team now included a paramedic / CPR instructor, a web developer / marketer, and a graphic designer / video editor. You wouldn't be alone if CPR training makes you think of classrooms and manikins rather than a computer. And in 2003, this was even more true than today. But that didn't stop us from deciding to change everything. After all, CPR training was broken and we were determined to fix it. No more falling asleep in a 4-6 hour class. Why not learn from the comfort of your home. GROWING PAINS AND EARLY WINS Of course, there have been challenges. Nearly a third of Internet users were on dial-up in 2003 and YouTube hadn't been invented yet. But by 2007, things were beginning to change. And that's the year we launched the Internet's first fully video-based CPR course. At this point, we had certified around 80,000 students, our three founders went full-time on the business, and we hired our first two employees to support our customers and gain compliance approvals. Compliance challenges are what led us to create a blended CPR program in 2008. Although online courses are acceptable for many people, there are certain industries where hands-on skills practice is mandatory. First, we built a national instructor network to meet this need. Then, in 2014, we introduced live video conference evaluations and a low-cost SUMO manikin kit to offer our students in-home skills evaluations, making ProTrainings the most compliant (and convenient) CPR course available online. EXPANSION AND NEW VENTURES A lot has changed since the early days. Our team has grown to 35+ people across our U.S. and U.K. offices. We've certified well over a million people and counting. And our free Student CPR program has certified tens of thousands of high school students around the country. Our course catalog has also expanded beyond CPR to include courses such as Bloodborne Pathogens, HIPAA, Hazcom, Fire Safety, Ergonomics, Sexual Harassment, Pet First Aid, Continuing Education content, and more to come. We're still just getting started!

Emma and I wear many hats: from designer and photographer to maker and workshop tutor. One of my first passions was photography, strongly inspired by my father and my uncle, who were both talented amateur photographers. Growing up in Namibia and South Africa, I remember my dad always having a camera in hand, recording our childhood or the stunning African landscape. As a teenager I poured over magazines like National Geographic, Drum and Life, feeling transported to distant lands through the incredible photography. I longed to leave school and travel the world, taking my own photographs. Eventually I got the chance to travel to many wonderful countries. But life got in the way and instead of pursuing my creative passions, I ended up working as a lawyer in London. The 2009 recession was a turning point in my life. Having been made redundant from my job in the City, I resolved to take the plunge and pursue a career that would make me feel more fulfilled. I decided to return to my childhood passion of photography. It’s a decision I’ve never regretted as it has led to some amazing opportunities, from co-founding the London Photo Festival to having my work featured in publications including The Telegraph and the Metro. It’s also taken me in directions I never could have anticipated. My frustration at having to juggle a bulky, unattractive camera bag as well as a handbag led me to create my own range of stylish camera bags and accessories. Over the past few years, I’ve become increasingly interested in sustainability, with an emphasis on using eco dyes, natural resources and recycled material. I now run classes along these principles which have been featured in Country Loving and Breath magazines. These take places in my she-shed in Twickenham and range from Christmas wreath making to cyanotype printing – “nature's printing press” – a more eco-friendly form of photography that is particularly effective at capturing texture. As a result of the pandemic, I’ve also started selling DIY creative kits so that you can try these crafts out in the comfort of your own home. It’s been gratifying to see these becoming so popular – my Christmas bauble kit appeared in the Metro and The Sunday Telegraph. To see more of what I’m up to or to hear about the latest classes, follow me on social media.

Holistic Ink piercing places boston’s Story about Clara’s expectation for the studio

holistic ink piercing places boston’s story about clara’s expectation for the studio

Clara Thompson, a 27-year-old from Seattle, has always considered herself a free spirit, expressing her personality through unique jewelry. As a creative graphic designer, she frequently designs pieces that reflect her individuality and wanted to find a piece of jewelry that truly embodied that essence. After years of contemplation, Clara decided it was time to get a piercing as a way to refresh her look. However, since it was her first time, she wanted to ensure she chose the right style, material, and placement so that the piercing would feel like a natural extension of her lifestyle. That’s why she chose Holistic Ink piercing places boston—a renowned studio known for its perfect fusion of piercing artistry and feng shui. 1. FIRST-TIME PIERCINGS AT HOLISTIC INK PIERCING BOSTON REQUIRE PROFESSIONAL GUIDANCE For Clara, choosing to get a piercing at ▶️ Holistic Ink Piercing Boston [https://www.holisticink.com/holisticink-servies/body-piercing-boston/] ◀️ wasn’t easy, but despite her research, it was her first time in a studio. The studio immediately put her at ease from the very first steps. Before the piercing, she received a thorough consultation on the procedure, aftercare instructions, and tips to prevent infection or irritation. The professionals walked her through every necessary step, from choosing the jewelry and sterilization to preparing the piercing site, the piercing process itself, and aftercare. Clara learned that beyond decorative piercings, some designs were crafted specifically to enhance feng shui and bring good luck to the wearer. This aspect particularly fascinated her, making her feel that her decision wasn’t just about aesthetics but also a spiritual transformation. Additionally, the specialists advised Clara on selecting the right type of jewelry for different body areas, as each placement could impact both physical health and feng shui. This insight excited Clara even more, as she wanted a piercing that was not only stylish but also carried deep personal meaning. 2. CHOOSING THE PERFECT PLACEMENT AND JEWELRY DESIGN Clara isn’t a fan of anything too flashy or overly intricate. She prefers simplicity and elegance in everything, including jewelry choices. After reviewing various piercing styles, she concluded that an ear piercing was the best fit for her. The next step was selecting the right placement and design. When asked about placement, Clara shared that she wanted her piercing on the helix—subtle yet refined, seamlessly blending with her personal style. The consultant explained that a helix piercing not only creates a sophisticated look but can also help channel positive energy, which aligns well with Clara’s personality—someone who values harmony and balance in life. As for design, Clara gravitated towards small, delicate, yet expressive jewelry. She didn’t want anything too large or extravagant but rather a versatile piece that could complement multiple outfits. A thin metallic hoop, either round or oval, seemed like the perfect choice. The Holistic Ink Piercing Boston staff also suggested a few pieces that would match her facial features and fashion preferences. Ultimately, Clara chose a white gold hoop—an elegant, hypoallergenic option that exuded subtle sophistication. White gold also aligned with her feng shui, helping her maintain balance in both work and life. This final decision left Clara feeling excited and eagerly anticipating the piercing appointment. 3. HOLISTIC INK PIERCING BOSTON CURIOUS ABOUT HOW CLARA PLANS TO WEAR HER PIERCING FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS Clara wanted her new piercing from Holistic Ink ▶️ Piercing Boston [https://band.us/page/96561637/post/3] ◀️ to be part of her daily life and a statement for special occasions. Clara mentioned that she especially loved pairing it with darker clothing to create a striking contrast, making the jewelry stand out beautifully. Looking ahead, she envisioned this piercing becoming a cherished accessory—something she could wear everywhere, whether at work or social gatherings.
