Classes and Workshops. The Tudor Rose Patchwork shop, in Oakley, Beds, houses two fully functioning and self-contained workshops, both of which hold regular classes and one day workshops. You can learn everything from patchwork and quilting, beading, felting, hand sewing, counted stitching, embroidery and mixed media. To find out more about our workshops click here. If you are travelling to attend one of our workshops and require overnight accommodation we can highly recommend Riverside Lodge located in nearby in Sharnbrook. It is a family run bed and breakfast comprising of two available rooms in the main house and a further seperate room over the garage. Project Ideas and Inspiration. We understand that it may not be possible for everyone to get to our shop and enjoy a workshop, to make sure that you don't miss out on project ideas and inspiration our talented staff design and create a range of kits and patterns for you to order and create at home. I was interested in making and designing from a very early age and was intrigued by the intricate cake decorations that a family friend made in sugar. I was, and still am, always building and making things with my father who is an engineer and he repaired and made jewellery, so I had a little knowledge of the techniques he used in his loft studio. I studied art and design at Bath college with an amazing group of inspiring tutors and one of the pieces that I used in my application was a flower made from copper which was my first piece of soldering. When applying to universities I was breath taken by the silverware at the Buckinghamshire University degree show an knew from that point I wanted to work in metal. I gained a BA in Designed Metalwork and Jewellery from Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College where I was taught by an exceptional group of tutors who still influence my work today. This took me to become a fellow of the Bishopsland trust where I developed my range of stainless steel and silver jewellery while on the year residential programme. This was an excellent platform for me to learn all about how to start up a business and how to do craft fairs. Pope and Oliver along with the visiting tutors do an amazing job at this very unique programme.

Our engraving service, either by hand or machine, can transform your wedding band into a truly stunning piece for your special day. Our skilled and qualified craftsmen have built an enviable reputation over the years for providing a fast, effective service that emphasises quality and reliability in all our repairs and jewellery we create. All this work is completed in our own workshops using state-of-the-art equipment.
