Boundary Oak School is an independent coeducational preparatory day and boarding school for 2 to 16 year olds in Hampshire near Fareham. Originally a prep school with just 80 pupils, the senior school was launched in September 2016. Boundary Oak is now a thriving community with almost 450 pupils, a highly motivated staff room and incredible pupil and parent bodies. The school has retained its family atmosphere and professionalised many of the functions required to ensure a private school is safeguarded and future-proofed. QV Education has invested every year in classroom technologies, new teaching spaces both indoor and outdoors, a new sports hall and a new design technology centre. Welcome to Love Outdoor Learning. We help children grow, develop and learn whilst they connect with their natural environment.Love Outdoor Learning was founded by Carol Murdoch. She is a teacher who quickly discovered the magic of taking learning into the playground and beyond. With almost twenty years of working in education, she has experience teaching in primary, severe and complex schools and ASD bases. Throughout the years’ Carol has and is working on wide range of training. This includes a Master in Learning for Sustainability (with an outdoor learning focus), Lead Teacher in Outdoor Learning, Woodland Activity Leader Training and also Forest School training (level 8 FOLA). She is also set to complete her Coastal Activity Leader Training in July 2022. She Carol loves to support schools by providing training, advice and resources helping teachers break out of the classroom and deliver learning outdoors. Carol is one of the countries leading educational consultants supporting schools in Scotland, the UK and across the globe. She delivers training, presents keynote speeches and is passionate about helping schools develop high quality outdoor learning.

Welcome! Highland Wildscapes is a small adventure and photography business run by me, David Russell. It is my passion to provide people with outdoor experiences that revolve around Exploration, Learning and Creativity. My number one goal is to provide transformational moments that alter the way you see and interact with our landscape. To that end, I offer adventurous experiences in three broad categories: Landscape Photography Workshops As a landscape photographer with more than 15 years experience I love to teach people the skills they need to capture their own beautiful vision of our wonderful land. Guided Adventures Guided journeys with an educational twist, such as themed walks and journeys of discovery. Outdoor Skills Courses Equipping you with the skills and confidence to reach your own goals, and independently enjoy all that our wild land has to offer. I have worked with people from all walks of life in the great outdoors. What is clear is that no matter where we come from and what we have done, there is a universal bond between people and nature. When we are together with the world is when we are most truly human.

Wildlings & Wellbeing CIC aims to reduce social isolation and improve mental well-being through nature connection and social engagement, by providing accessible and inclusive outdoor sessions at several locations throughout the Doncaster borough. We encourage Doncaster residents to get outdoors in all weathers and improve physical development whilst learning transferable life skills. We provide after school and extracurricular activities for children and young people and are a registered destination for Children’s University. Our nurture and well-being sessions are for personal and spiritual development. Our team of graduate professionals have backgrounds in child development, teaching, nursing, well-being and holistic therapies and youth work. Working in a natural environment helps to create a holistic approach to learning and development. Attendees will develop their physical, social and emotional needs through a person-centred long-term educational journey, improving confidence and well-being. Wildlings will be working closely with the safer communities teams and family hubs across Doncaster, in addition to other local community organisations and charities. Adult well-being sessions are also available, to meet up, have a chat around the campfire and learn new skills for personal development.

This site has been called ‘the wilderness’ for a thousand years. It dates back to Saxon times when the Forest of Dean, the ancient woodland between the River Severn and the River Wye, was designated royal hunting forest. Looking from the vantage point of The Wilderness Centre down to the River Severn, you can clearly see the broad curves of the river heading out to the Bristol Channel. Over the course of a day you’ll see the tide ebb and flow - the second highest tidal range in the world - and be able to pick out the villages along the River’s bank that were once thriving Roman ports trading throughout the Mediterranean. The current house is Georgian, built in the early nineteenth century as a family home. In the early twentieth century the site became a children’s hospital, specialising in infectious diseases. In the 1960’s Gloucestershire County Council acquired The Wilderness Centre, turning it into an outdoors education and nature studies centre serving the county’s schools. Dan and Sophie Sturdy bought The Wilderness in 2015 as a key location in their vision for human potential and growth.

Remembering where we have been is important of understanding who we are and where we are going. 2020 will mark our 27th anniversary, and we can honestly say that this journey has been full of surprises and adventures!! Nick, Alex & Matt Markoff founded Calleva in 1993 as a small summer camp. Today, Calleva is known as an innovator in outdoor education, with 100+ school and community partners in the DC metropolitan area. Our success is built upon the passion of our founders, who love introducing kids to the outdoors and teaching them to achieve their very best in every activity. Calleva was initially modeled after Valley Mill Camp, where the Markoff brothers grew up working with their family. However, over the years Calleva has developed its own unique brand of outdoor adventure that encompasses summer camp, wilderness educational experiences, environmental education and small-scale sustainable farming. Rather than headquarter all of our activities in a single location, Calleva has created an innovative variety of MOBILE programming, taking participants to the best parks, trails, rivers and rocks in our region while operating an educational farm in Montgomery County’s Agricultural Reserve.

After an 8-year career in marketing, I decided that I didn’t really want to do that any more. So, I did a part-time MSc in Nutrition, Physical Activity & Public Health at the University of Bristol, qualified as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor, then quit my job and started my own business (a very succinct summary making it sound way more straight forward than it was). I have the enormous privilege of living on a beautiful farm in South Oxfordshire with my husband, Andy and our “little ones”, Geoffrey (dog) and Rupert (cat). Living on the farm, I have all the space anyone could need to keep active. I never really loved the gym environment and always found the regimented, rep counting, calorie tracking, muscle building approach to exercise very unnecessary. I feel best when I’m outdoors, being active in anyway that I fancy. I love strength training, but I quickly figured out that you don’t need machines in a gym to be able to do this. You just need to lift heavy things… and there are plenty of heavy things lying around the farm.

Our permanent team are Matthew Chapman and Maria Charles who bring together a wide skill set to make your experience challenging, inspiring and fun whilst maintaining high levels of safety and well-being. Wild Woodcraft are based in the Lincoln area, offering exciting and stimulating experiences in the wild outdoors. We provide a range of experiences that can be tailor made to your requirements. Our woodland settings create a fantastic learning environment, and our activities and courses allow real ‘hands on’ participation in both modern bushcraft and tasks that have taken place since the dawn of humanity. We provide single day school trip experiences on many themes to full residential trips. We have holiday activity days and campouts, adult courses and team building events, our own innovative ‘Wild Woodschool’ programmes, birthday parties and private bookings. Why the forest? It builds self-esteem and confidence that is in turn taken back to the classroom, workplace and home. Participants can feel a real sense of achievement and accomplishment by taking themselves away from their usual comfort zones and routines.
