Our approach is to set up each child for future success. We do this by always putting your child at the centre and by keeping the short and longer term aspirations of your family in mind. The Education Concierge was founded by Gabrielle Villani BA (Hons), B ED (Distinction), MA Media (Distinction), MA Literacy Development, FCollT, whose skills and expertise in educational management and independent school education span pre-preparatory (early years), preparatory (primary) and secondary schooling in both the UK and abroad. Gabrielle founded The Education Concierge in 2013 and directed this prior to joining Salamanca Group as Head of Education Services for five years. During this time, she merged her education background with experience of private client services and worked alongside family offices and private client advisors to find the most appropriate and reputable schools, university courses and careers experiences for families. In her role as a school manager of a London independent school, Gabrielle experienced first-hand the need for parents to receive impartial, trusted advice and personal attention with their child’s education. With 20 years’ experience in nurturing the academic development of children aged 3 to 17 years, Gabrielle has expert knowledge of how children learn and how to cater to their educational needs. She understands that a child’s future is shaped by the quality of education he or she receives. Supporting families with educational choices and planning ‘next steps’ in a child’s education, are two essential skills that Gabrielle brings to helping families. Gabrielle understands that in a global economy, and in senior positions of business; families are often required to move in a moment’s notice. Making a transition to the right educational ‘home’ can be complex. With this in mind, she established The Education Concierge to ease the transition process and provide families with insights and solutions for enhancing their child’s education.

Windle Trust International (WTI) challenges poverty and inequality by expanding access to and improving the quality of education and training, for communities affected by conflict, displacement, neglect or discrimination. WTI is dedicated to reducing inequalities in access to high quality education for these communities, particularly for women and girls. We have a specific focus on increasing access to education for conflict-affected communities seeking to reach children and young people who have been forced to flee or who have been denied education because of the chronic marginalisation that so often accompanies conflict. Our ability to work in insecure and unpredictable areas is one of our distinctive features. We have a geographical focus on East Africa and the Horn of Africa. With offices in Sudan, South Sudan and the UK, we combine local knowledge and expertise with international contacts and a global perspective. This is especially important in our scholarships programme, where we work in partnership with some of the UK’s outstanding universities to provide opportunities for access to world-class teaching institutions. Reflecting our values we work across the breadth of the education sector from primary schools to the tertiary sector. Our commitment is to work with communities in all their diversity – girls and boys, refugees and citizens, teachers and school management committees. We are flexible in the way we work and have a breadth of talent to draw on. Where it is the most appropriate option, we are able to work at community level to make sure that projects are on track. At other times, we will operate at a policy level, seeking to shape the broader context or drawing attention to issues that we think are important, but too often neglected. Whatever the project, we will implement it to the best of our ability.

As Chair of Governors at Blythe Bridge High School & Sixth Form, I would like to extend a warm welcome to those of you visiting our website. The governing body is involved with school life at many levels, ranging from ensuring that support functions (finance, premises management, health & safety) are completely aligned with the strategic vision of the school from a quality of education perspective, to sharing in the successes of the many talented students through Governor Awards and community events. I am incredibly grateful to my fellow governors for voluntarily devoting so much of their time and effort to the school community. Our governing body comprises elected representatives from the local authority, staff, parents and members of the community and the combined experience, skills and knowledge is vast. The job description for governors is clear, set the strategic direction of the school, hold school leaders to account for improvement and ensuring that the school budget is spent appropriately. As such, much of our time is spent working with Mrs Johnson and the senior leadership team to continually review and refine the quality of our provision through our subcommittee meetings. Welcome to our Outstanding Chinese Academic School It is our pleasure to welcome new and returning students to Hua Hsia in 2022. We hope you have all had a lovely summer! As always during these summer months, we take a step back to unwind and relax while awaiting the GCSE and Pre-U results of our students who have worked tirelessly to secure themselves top grades. The good news arrived earlier this week and we are delighted to announce this year’s cohort achieved outstanding GCSE and Pre-U results! Our GCSE group, made up of 10 students (7 in class and 3 private), achieved nine 9 grades (highest possible grade, akin to an A*) and one 8 grade. This keeps us in line with our 100% grade 8-9 track record and even gives us a 90% grade 9 achievement rate. Our Pre U group, made up of 3 students (all in class), achieved 2 Distinctions and 1 Merit. These brilliant outcomes are well deserved and are a testament to both the talent and dedication of pupils and staff, and to the quality of education maintained throughout the last two-and-a-half years even with all the speed bumps along the way. A very special thanks to Teachers Katja, Nicole, and Joseph for supporting students to unlock their full potential. The return of public exams has given the students the opportunity to clearly demonstrate the fruits of their continued hard work and focus during the challenges of the pandemic, especially in a period where nationally pupils were being warned of lower grades. Thankfully, things here have since rebounded as strongly as ever, with these pupils, and the School as a whole, able to look forward with optimism to what comes next. We look forward to seeing you all on the 10th and 11th of September, as we reopen our doors for another academic year.
