Had I known I would go on to study at Lancing College, gain an MA in English
Literature, enter the independent sector as a teacher, and years later, return
to Sompting Abbotts as its Headmaster, my seven-year-old self would have been
astonished! I do know, however, that my prep school experience gave me the
academic foundation and fledgling self confidence to fulfil my eventual
potential.
